Wow, a Ferret and a Lotus/Caterham 7 in one trip. Anyway, Golden Gem indeed! What an exceptional site. The A-12 sticker on the door got my attention... I was working for McDonnell Douglas during the development of that controversial aircraft. When the program came under scrutiny, we were informed that there would be many jobs lost if it was cancelled, even for folks not directly connected with the program, which I wasn’t... When the Secretary of Defense did indeed drop the hammer on the A-12, the mood around the company was dark indeed. I had in fact received a letter from my management stating that my own position was in jeopardy, and with consummate timing, the cancellation was announced just before the Christmas holiday in 1991. Happy Christmas, indeed... at any rate, I eventually transferred to a different department and was there for an additional eight years. All of this to say that seeing the A-12 logo still brings back the memories. Thanks for this one... hopefully that site will stay pristine for years to come.
That's in great shape that one. Not sure as couldn't tell in video what they were made of but where those blocks to separate the bed from the floor as the beds were metal framed and it was to stop it becoming electrified if there was a short ? Very cool location, nice one guys.
Nice Ferret scout car at the beginning, gents. 03:15(approx) "Hello, is that the Police? This is the secretary of St.Dingle In The Datsun Primary School. I'd like to report a car parked outside, which seems to contain Fidel Castro, and Che Guevara. I think that they're either very lost, or just filming the school, with a view to mounting a coup... Hello? Hello? Hello?"
I recently noticed what is possibly a massive top secret cold war bunker just outside of Newcastle next to the Tyne Tunnel on the north side, there is a hill that has metal hatches peppered all over it and a field next to it with large plastic tubes coming out the ground that are most likely air vents, i really want to explore it but i think i'll leave it to the professionals.
Awesome find in brilliant condition. My brother lived in wellington near Telford and said there’s a ROC post in Upton magna I wonder what condition that’s in.Hope you guys could pay it a visit sometime.Keep up the good work thx👍👍👏👏👏👏
The light timer that you guys found was made 13 mins away from my house - the company was taken over I believe and it's now just an electrical shop rather than a factory :( but at least it's still there! I still find it amazing that my home town played a part in the ROC bunker construction program.... Thanks for another fantastic video (even if I have only just found this one! Lol)
i remember i once saw a Daimler ferret outside my old school next to a garage and as well as that.. a Delorean.. in Stockport of all places surprisingly lol but great video :) a fantastic condition and interesting ROC post
The log says 19/6/91 ie 1991 is that right would you say??? Bit late isn't it?. It also stated various other posts where operational so I'm guessing your correct it is a master post!
Have you ever thought of either putting authentic rank tabs on your feldjacke or getting a bergmutze (mountain cap) to match your feldjacke (field jacket) because it's a field jacket you're wearing in case you didn't know.
Can the public buy them? What would you do with one if you owned one? I think they'd make an awesome place to go and chill, relax etc because it's so private x
Hello Ian if you look on eBay property like I did today the 29th of the feb 2019 there is one of those Cold War bankers that you go to in Norfolk for sale they’re asking 35,000 just thought you might be interested all the best

Wow that light timer made in Holdenhurst Road, Bournemouth ,I used to frequent George Hartwell's Garage there in the 70's and 80's 😄
Walked down holdenhurst road in Bournemouth today. No lighting company there anymore I'm afraid.

Have you ever enquired about purchasing one.?
That tin of paint 😂
Like your videos. You know you encounter thorns all the time. Bring some thick leather gloves to combat that problem...
Puts the one i found in the west midlands to shame :( I feel better now my chemicle toilet was still in situ.
They closed the door and still in there now
Where about is it in the West Midlands
Due to its great condition we will not be giving out its name and location to protect it from vandalism
