Cole, you mention carp isn’t too good, buffalo are better, but, with these guys, remove blood line, fillet bones out, rub em down with lemon and pepper and seasoned salt, then put them in a smoker, which put wine in the bowl at the bottom of the smoker, cut some onions up in the wine, etc. It’s not wonderful, but it is very good! But that smoke flavor it makes it worth it! Adjust seasoning to your preference but that smoke taste is just so good!
Oh, bring fish will be fried, how about making chili Rellenoes? But a couple cans of whole chili peppers in the can unless like me you prefer pablanoes if they’re in season, where they have to be blanched, etc.? The can is simpler unless you’re serious! Cheese of your choice like Monterey Jack cheese w jalapeño peppers. Take a couple of eggs separate the yolks from whites. Add about 1/4 cup of flour with yolks. With a mixer in high, white the whites up thick and creamy, then add the yolk/flour mix to it and whip it until well mixed! Cut small slithers of cheese for whole Anaheim peppers, about 3/16” thick and about that to 5/16” wide, Then length is determined by the pepper, insert in peppers, flour the peppers, it’d probably be good if you already rolled in flour and stuffed with cheese before mixing the better! After flouring, dip in batter then drop in hot oil’. Cook until browned, roll over cook until browned, then remove and lay on layered paper towels! Do this, many will fall in love, it’s delicious! Then adjust your recipe to your preference, if too eggy to you, add a little more flour. You might like cheddar cheese or mozarella, you might like a little garlic powder to accent the pepper! Biggest thing, if you like panino pepper, I think is much better! Insert more cheese, where some will mix some browned ground meat with the cheese. They’re so delicious! It’s hard to imagine how good they are until you fix them Cole and Jay?? Maybe a crappie fillet off a 10”er, inserted in pepper, then what cheese??? Mozarella? Cheddar??? Simply quick brown the fillet, I bet that would taste good. I think I’d prefer just cheese!

Reel is a bonehead tackle spinning reel. It's a 500 size rods are 11ft ACC jigging rods
