If you suspect a shady clerk or store, don't tell them. Just report them to the lottery commission so that they catch them. Had a retailer scratch off just the barcodes to see if they were winners and then sell the losing tickets to customers. I used to work at HEB and he would come in to our store to cash in the winners. A couple of us went to his store to purchased some tickets and noticed the barcodes were already scratched off...We reported him.....his store no longer sells lotto.
Scratching the barcodes ? That was sad. They should close the whole store and prosecute the owner. Unless there's a drastic consequence, those unscrupulous retailers will continue cheating people out of their hard earned money.
Man I forgot to tell you the other day I bought a few $1 tickets down here in FL and won $100! What a great feeling that is.

I had an issue last summer in Georgia. I asked for 2 of the $25 Jumbo Bucks, and the clerk grabbed two loose ones from the display bin. I noticed that the bar codes had been scratched, and that the tickets were not consecutive. I pointed that out and politely asked for 2 tickets without any of the surface scratched, and with back-to-back numbers. He got offended and refused, and I told him that selling such a ticket was a violation of the rules. I then asked for a refund, but he refused, citing lottery rules. Eventually, he threatened me and demanded that I leave his store. I complied, but kept the tickets as proof and sent them and a letter to the Georgia Lottery. Not sure what came of it, as I don't live in Georgia (I'm a US expat who lives in Russia) and I haven't been back to that area since. By the way, would you consider scratching some Russian lottery scratch-offs if I send them to you? (Don't worry, I'd translate the rules) Next time I'm in the States I could bring them with me and mail them.

Several years ago, when the 2 dollar Jumbo Bucks was the hottest ticket here in Ga. You could win 500 bucks on it pretty regularly. i would go to a station, buy 10 tickets and work them to see how they were doing. One morning I stopped in a gas station that I had never been in before, and I bought 10 tickets, and didn't win anything, so I bought 10 more, and didn't win anything , so I knew then, that there was a hidden big winner in the pack, I asked for 10 more tickets, and the lady flat out said, I am not selling you anymore tickets. I thought she was messing with me for a moment, but when she stood her ground, I really got hot. There was no one else in the place, and I could not understand why she was being like she was, except for the fact that she knew that I had not hit any winner so maybe she wanted to but tickets herself after I left, except I had not planned on leaving until I hit that 500. Anyway, I went to the Lottery place which was about 25 miles from where I was, and blew off steam with them. They called the store to ask why she would not sell me tickets, and the lady had no reason, so they shut them down for selling tickets. The owner of the store called me in a couple of days and begged me to forget about it, and as it turned out, the lady who was running the place was his girlfriend. I finally relented, let him start selling tickets again, but I never went to that place ever again. Sometimes, you win, sometimes you lose!
I won $500 on that ticket several years ago. Went in and asked for 2 $2 scratch offs and the clerk asked which ones. I said I don’t care just make me a winner. That’s what he gave me! I got the moneybag which was 10x the prize with $50 under it.
You know what gets me is when you go in to buy a ticket and see employees chasing after you. That irritates me.
I too have encountered the same situation.. Being an avid scratcher myself,I always keep track of the ticket numbers like most of us do as well as I keep track of who enters the store .. I bought 5 $20 losers in a row bought the 6th without checking ticket number but did know nobody had entered the store since. I went in to buy the 7th, got in the truck and as I'm scratching I noticed there was a number missing.. The clerk was the only one who could have snatched the ticket in between. I was so pissed I never have went to that store for any reason since....

If you scratch between the o and n on the bonus circle. You can make out the letters if they match they a win. Look at letters not the numbers. They should of scattered them.

what is the description of the video were u got burn't. I just recently have had a problem with a new employee, can tell his shady cuz he perks up when peeps turn in tickets also he has paid me back less than I won. I go to another place were their cool and they add your winnings in one lump. But I gotta go to that place cuz they always have big winners, it's all random but u know how it goes. it's good more places are opening back up. Keep up with the cool channel.

the gas station i buy my tickets from, I have only won never lost. and i won $100 the other day and they told me they had no money, well i went back and won $50 later and she was like uhhh idk if i can do that stared at me and said "we dont cash anything over $100 out but since its $50 i can" pulls out the drawer and it is stacked with money..... are they allowed to do that, do they pay for winning tickets or do they get their money back?
Next time take pictures of the ticket and the ticket number so he can say that it lost
