Dein deutsch ist außergewöhnlich gut nach 31 Tagen!! "eingeboren" sagt man nicht, das ist ein "outdated" Wort 😂 - aber du kannst sagen, mit einer "einheimischen" Person (wenn die Person dort geboren ist, wo du gerade bist) oder du sagst mit einer "echten Deutschen" wenn du sagen willst, dass sie aus Deutschland kommt.

Hey Yücel :) in the case of "zwischen", we need at least two objects in order to use it, since it means something like "between", that's why we say zwischen *den* Autos, which is still Dativ, but the plural form :) not to be confused with "den Mann" for example, which would indeed be the singular masculine Akkusativ :)

Basically I guess "beim" is just the mix of "bei" and "dem" just like "in" becomes "Im" when there's a dative sentence. Both means the same.
with "an" you have contact, with "bei" you dont .. with "neben" you dont as well and it means more "on the side" unlike "an" and "bei" that mean on/by/next to

Dative prepositions show location in time/place and the indirect object. It's easy. Accusative prepositions show movement and the direct objective. "Ich springe unter DIE Dusche" means moving under the shower. "Ich springe unter DER Dusche" means jumping up and down while under the shower! English is not so precise: both mean "I jump under the shower". However, English combines prepositions ; in+to to show movement. So "Ich gehe in den Raum" could be translated as "I go into the room". German is easy, logical and more precise than English.
an example with dative could be "Ich laufe im Raum" or "ich gehe im Raum" meaning I'm already in the room and I'm walking around?

Hi guys, I have a confusion concerning the use of von and vom.
I already know that vom is dative which is an abbreviation of von dem and that it is used for masculine and neutral, but the problem is why sometimes von is in Akkusativ and in other examples it turns to be in dativ =vom and here I'm talking about the meaning vom and von take in a sentence. Does that depend on the context or what ? If you don't mind, please give two examples in which von and vom are used with an explanation of the difference in their meanings and thank you.

Neben = next, little bit further from objekt. An and Bei = i think that was same meaning, AT. Correct me if i wrong please :)

Can anyone explain me the differences between the prepositions bei and an? Sometimes I have some troubles trying to differentiate them.
Broadly speaking 'an' is like 'close to contact' and 'bei' is like 'next to/near'. These are only translations, but I guess you can work with that to get a better understanding. Or contact me so I can show you.
Federico Augusto .. "an" can be dative when there is no movement : "Ich stehe an DER Tür." This means I am at the door. When I am going TOWARDS the door then I say "Ich gehe an DIE Tür". "Bei" can only ever be dative because it signals location or the indirect object. Generally verbs that show movement (legen = to lay) can only be used with accusative, and verbs that show no movement (liegen =to lie) are used with the dative.
@Rikki The indirect object is in dative, but something in dative is not exclusively always an indirect object. What you say in your last sentence is also not correct, since you are not differentiating between indirect object, direct object and nouns with prepositions.

Ja, "beim" ist dasselbe wie "bei dem", "am" ist dasselbe wie "an dem" und "unterm" ist dasselbe wie "unter dem".
Ich weiß nicht, ob es eine "offizielle" Regel gibt, aber bei den Beispielen aus dem Video (in, an, auf, hinter,...) passt die Regel die ich in der Schule gelernt habe.
Dativ = Wo?
Akkusativ = Wohin?
Beispiel:
Ich spiele mit dem Ball _auf_ *dem* Rasen
Ich schieße den Ball _auf_ *den* Rasen
Almost the same, but not quite. It makes a difference if you want to say something like this in English: At this shop you get groceries and at this shop and at this shop. You get the idea right? Ok, you cannot use 'beim' for that, you need to use 'bei dem'.
Bei dem Laden gibt es Lebensmittel und bei dem und bei dem. (Just an example to demonstrate it.)
If you would use 'beim' in all occasions, it wouldn't make any semantical sense.
Example: Beim Laden gibt es Lebensmittel und beim und beim.
To heal that you have to name to what 'bei' is referring to.
Example:
Beim Laden gibt es Lebensmittel und beim Bäcker und beim Markthändler.
The idea behind (not) using articles and shortenings is the following
without article -> in general
with definite article -> specific, defined, definite
with indefinite article -> unspecific, undefined, indefinite
preposition and article shortening (e.g. am, beim) -> very specific
For preposition which can take both accusative and dative, there is the following rule.
If the location changes, it takes accusative.
If the location does not change, it takes dative.
Example:
Ich gehe in dem Park. - The dative tells us that the location (Park) doesn't change, so the action (gehen) takes place in the park or better inside the park.
Ich gehe in den Park. - The accusative tells us that location changes. Because of that the action (gehen) was started outside of the park and leads into park.
