You could not have started this series at a better time for me. I have a 92 and me and my son are doing it in phases getting ready to go exploring in it. A 92 was my first ride and I bought another one several years ago to have a nice hobby to do with my son.
Right on! My daughter will be born on the next 9 days this truck is intended to be to the family adventurer. I’m hoping that one day she’ll say “my dad had this old bronco he’d take us camping in” I just got second pallet of parts so will be posted soon!
only steering whine I ever heard was on my old 79, the OBS steering in the last 4 OBS I owned worked as they should no whine or slop , Ford made a good system imop.
Just got my suspension fixed and tie rod ends and steering box and pitman arm! Don’t need this kit and keep with the regular belt. But I am looking forward to the whole series of episodes on the overhaul Need help with vacuum lines and ac
Next pallet of parts should show up next week! Thanks for sticking around to watch the build! Also the vacuum lines are definitely a common issue. Best bet is to pull off all the OEM plastic ones and replace with new rubber ones. (I did this back in 2021) 🤙🏻
@@ericdreher8902 I did I ended up puttingz the EGR back on, I ordered a resistor kit from five ology racing.com So basically all I did was remove the air pump
@@joseluisalopezyou can switch over but you will go from a v-belt to a serpentine. I suggest you visit a junkyard as Ford actually put this same setup on their E series vans. You will get a factory aluminum bracket probably for less than $50 rather than waste your money on this overpriced fabricated bracket. Another plus with the saginaw pump is it works well for switching to a hydraboost brake booster for a great brake upgrade.
I forgot to add since you will need to switch your alternator to a serpentine pulley you could also get the alternator bracket and upgrade to a 3g that has the pulley already installed.
Because not every guy out there will be building prerunner capable broncos. I’ll be building in in phase from most mild to dune jumping thrasher. Showing most common fixes/upgrades first then progressively step up with the modularity of all of the desolate motors offerings x
@@ChaseGentry 100%! The TTB is one of the most misunderstood front ends out there. When the geometry is set up properly, they are amazing! Camber and alignment are only a problem if the geo and lift are not talking to each other! Ima barf in my mouth next time someone tells me “you need to do a strait axle swap”… haha.

Dude I just picked up a 92 f150 and have been having all these same problems. I am going to do all of this as well.

Great video, I am now a subscriber.
Welcome aboard! Glad you enjoyed!
Thanks for the content. Owner of a 93 Bronco, myself.
Right on!!!
Very helpful vid, thanks for posting. Excited to put this in our OJ bronco soon
Glad it was helpful! Lots of content in the pipeline for this build 😈
Pumped to watch this build!
I’m pumped to share it! Next pallet of parts shows up in two weeks 😈🏁
@@ChaseGentry can’t wait! Just made my account on Desolate. I have a feeling I’m going to be giving them just about all my money!
LMR will have a lot of good products for this. Including door panels. Good quality parts went on my 92.
Yes they do i’m actually working something with him right now.
I thought the ford power steering whine is why we bought them lol. Nice kit
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤘
Can you try turning your tires stopped and see what the pump sounds like
No change
I need to do this to my 96
Huge improvement!
Literally just bought a 91 Bronco and a 89 F250 for my son and daughter 🤙🏽 this is gonna be awesome series
Hope you enjoy it! I’m stoked for the next episode! 😈🏁 it’s a good one!

@ChaseGentry sweet. Only part I really want gone is the pipes that one connects to the air pump. Hahaha pita changing plugs in that side. Thanks!.
Is the a version of the power steering pump for the 1984 bronco
Clarify the question?
the GM power steering pump, is there a model that works on a 1984 bronco?
@@joseluisalopez it’s a Saginaw pump.

Episode 2?
Working on it 😈😈🏁🏁
If you're going for 35's and I presume a decent size lift, why not wait and do a swing set style steering?

@@ChaseGentry sweet, I'm looking forward to the whole series! I'm on the fence on how to build my 96. SAS or TTB. Gonna be a great series.
That TTB is just as bad as gm IFS to many moving parts but the TTB is worst the camber is never lined up when going over bumps or dips in the road
TTB rocks when built right 🤷♂️

@@MisfitOBS 🤣🤣🤣 agreed
200000 miles on a original ttb or 30000 on a chevy ifs they are not the same.
