KKUWAN You are so well-informed about luxury accessories and bags. You've obviously done your due diligence and the comparison to the US is very informative...because of course, I live in New York. thank you very much
Decluttering helps to make room for new beauties in the collection! Always have to remind myself to keep the things that bring me joy and let go of the things that I'm not reaching for so they can find a better home.
I think for me the buyers remorse translates a little into selling only because I lose money in the process. I tend to log these as “lesson learned” but often they can be expensive lessons. Knowing I will take a loss I tend to keep the bag around trying to make it work for far too long. But once the bags are gone, no regrets!
Absolutely love decluttering AKA purging. I always feel so good afterwards. I’ve been donating a ton of my kids clothes, shoes & coats to charity & it’s such a great way to giveback! ❤
I have a large collection of bags and I’m seriously thinking of reducing my collection. Most of them I never reach out for and some even have tags on. I realized I did a lot of emotional shopping in the past. I’m more mindful now of what I buy, it is very hard but I’m trying to admire something without having the need to buy it. Not easy 😅😆
I need to let so much go but I’ve never sold stuff before and it’s a bit of a challenge. I hope to do this very soon as some of my bits and pieces would create a look of new present for someone with a budget price tag! Thanks for sharing xx
I never have sellers remorse either! There will always be another anyways. I get rid of stuff that doesn't get used so I think it makes perfect sense. Thanks for sharing!! Love your videos. 😁
Thank you for regifting the bags you receive from the brand rather than selling! Speaks to your integrity, kindness and loyalty to the brand to get it out there being used and loved. ❤️❤️❤️
This was such a thoughtful video! 💕 You’re so right- I recently let go of a bag 😉, and while I have fond memories associated with it, I wasn’t using it bc of my lifestyle and now couldn’t be happier knowing it went to someone who’d been wanting it for a long time!
This was so informative, Thank u! & love the stories w it. Very thoughtful esp. about ur mom & living in the suburbs. You remind me the importance of sharing the wealth & being kind.
Thank you for another high quality video:) im trying to let go of my LV speedy 20 but fashionphile would not take it because they have enough inventory of that kind. Could you share where to sell luxury handbags besides these secondhand platforms? Thank you
I feel like I remember when you got most of these 😊 I totally remember your rainbow lambskin phase and wondering if you’d actually use them. But it’s fine imo to have a bag you love to look at, like art!
I never thought I would sell any of my bags, but I have sold quite a few the last two years; “unicorns” that I was so thrilled to have at first, ended up living a lonely life in my closet. And since I still love to shop, my “fun money” budget was in need of a boost in funds 😊 So off they went.
@@sylly654 - Thanks for the info. I’ll check out both of those. I don’t think I have any unicorns because all of my bags are lower to mid range, Michael Kors, Coach, Brahmin, Patricia Nash, but most are many years old and in pristine condition (because I rarely ever use them).
I love my Tory Burch! I just purchased the Robinson tote, since I’ve started going into the office more. (I originally purchased the Walker, but it wasn’t big enough for my laptop 😢)
I feel you...yess it is hard to letting go but once when you did it feel so released..I did with my several watch collections (sell & give away with my friends) and it feels so good when I know they are so happy to use it 😚😚. Thank u 4 sharing this video 😘😘😘😘
I have the numero un mini and honestly I rarely use it. I keep debating going for the numero sept or trying the demellier vancouver bag. Always enjoy your videos!
I'm contemplating to let go my red Loewe puzzle medium and wanna trade the funds for a small one but I'm always hesitant to do so. I dunno why 🤷♀️ it's a beautiful red bag but I just don't reach for it cos I find it too big for casual dates out and too small for work. I used a tote or laptop bag for work instead. Sometimes I keep certain bags for the color which I love a lot. Is that silly? 🤔 freezing my bag space and money in that sense
Last year in October, I gave away some bags [not luxury bags but affordable luxury like Coach], you know some brands similar of the ones you also let go and as you said that give me space for new ones! It'd be better to use all the purses as much as we can. Enjoy your bag collection, which is beautiful 👍👍👏👏 greetings from Alabama!
I don't really have any regrets over any of the bags I've sold. I sold my Fendi Spy, which for some is considered an icon bag, but it was just too heavy for me. I've sold Chloés. And I sold ALL my Balenciaga colored Cities (like 12) and only kept my black pony one, with no regrets. However, when the black pony was stolen years later, I was devastated. I still haven't been able to find another (same leather same hardware).
Love your bags, Love your choices and reasons for letting go. I have a bag I would like to sell but it is not popular anymore and won't sell well what do you do in those situations, would you wait maybe fashion will circle back or sell and have some money vs none and a bag sitting in the closet?
That has happened to me several times in the past. I lost money selling some of my bags… But I don’t seeing it as “losing” and instead try to look at it as “freeing up funds” that have been sitting in the back of my closet. Also, if I used the bags, I figure I got my money’s worth in the times I used them. Most bags are not going to recoup the sale price so I think once you come to terms with this, you can let go freely. Hope this helps!
I have seen you commenting on Isabelle's Style videos, would you consider making the curate your collection videos and have people send you their photos and comment on what they should let go, I would love to hear your reasonings))
Just this month I said goodbye to the Polene Beri in less than a week after I received it because the camel tone was too pale/dull irl and not making me excited. I am debating whether to re-order in a different color because I looove ghe look so much but I feel I’d be disappointed again because I have my heart set on a nice rich camel/tan color for that style. I’m curious though, is Hermes “gold” more pale irl too? Now that I’m seeing more Hermes gold in photos, I feel like the Polene camel is similar to it.
I’ve sold through Fashionphile, eBay, and even Craigslist! And yes, sometimes I do vlog sales and sell to subscribers who are interested. Nowadays, I’m looking into selling through Instagram resellers.
I personally prefer the silver hardware against black for me. It has a cooler tone and somewhat more casual/youthful? vibe compared to the bright yellow. But I bought the black classic flap with vintage 24k gold plated hardware for my mom. She’s in her 70s. It’s all a matter of preference! 😉
I loved this, I always like hearing why a bag didn't work out. I very rarely regret letting anything go and it does feel good to declutter!

Agreed. I lost so much money in bags. That’s why I’m done and staying with my curated collection which is 6.

I remember some of the bags, especially the Red Chanel. I loved this bag! Another enjoyable video.

Right. Less anxiety

Emotional shopping is something I think many of us can relate to!! It’s also emotionally freeing to let go. 😉
I feel the same way! Took me a long time to let go, but have been overall happy with my decisions

@@sharonh2991 Fashionphile for a few and a personal shopper for another. Since they were “unicorns” I got a fair price for them.

Impeccable taste. As always. ☺️

Where can I buy the felt covers for the Chanel flap?
I never buy any material item expecting to recoup my money should I sell....I think of any loss as the 'hire charge' for the time I owned it 😊
