2 tbsps. butter
1 red onion, sliced
1 tbsp. minced garlic
1 tbsp. tomato paste
1 potato, cut into cubes
1 carrot, cut into cubes
1 bottle sliced pickles, include juice
½-1 cup evaporated milk or heavy cream
fish sauce to season
