Serkan Kaya is certainly top of the class, he's one of my favourite actors! :) But this role is generally very likely to own the whole show. I recently watched it in Vienna, with quite a young actor, Kurosch Abbasi, playing the role. You could tell his performance was inspired by Serkan Kaya, yet, he added a lot of personal details that were fun to watch. Needless to say that he rocked the show! ;)
I'm seeing Elisabeth in about a month (cannot wait!) and I must admit that Abbasi is one of the actors that I'm most looking forward to seeing. From the clips of him it does seem that he carries the role really well... as you said, he has some of the ideas that Kaya used but he seems to bring a freshness and charm to the role. ~Havanah x
I sometimes stage door but going with a friend who always does so pretty sure I will this time hehe. Nah, I am so excited for the show. I think it's hard because we all have set people who are 'Death' or are 'Elisabeth' so if someone does it differently it seems wrong but I'm sure it will be great! ~Havanah x
If you listen, when Lucheni says "Franz..." and pauses for someone to answer, one person in the audience actually replies with "Josef!" but it's really hard to hear.
That's right, that's what he does. :) So I'm crossing fingers for you to see him. I don't know if you also do stagedooring, but if you do: He is also a really nice guy to have a little talk with after the show. :) I've heard different opinions about the 2012 Vienna cast, but personally, I think they really hit the bull's eye for the anniversary production. Gosh, I would love to see them again...
QUESTION: What is significance of vertical green applique on left side of some costumes, including Helene's? This is not seen in most productions I have found on UA-cam.
This are the costumes from the original Wien Production, I think this was the last cast thay was using them. It probably symbolizes that they're all somehow related to the monarchy? Only the aristocrats have them. It has a negative meaning- like being part of the Court sucks the juices out of them
@@leno_o17 Hi, again. If you enjoyed Elisabeth, (if you have not seen it on UA-cam yet) you might also enjoy the musical story of her son : RUDOLF--AFFAIRE MAYERLING.
No, no, it's fine. I have no idea if the Italian is right or not... I learned to ask for an ice-cream when I was in Venice but that's the limit of my Italian ;-) When I get a free moment, may I add your corrections in the description (with credit, of course)?

Can I just applaud you on a really well done translation on this part. I'm a native German myself-this is excellent stuff OiaHavanh :)

8:34 Lucheni... you just flirted with your own murder victim...
