Just want to share as part of my personality, an observer, the part where jimin bowed and jy did not bow and take another look then wasn't able to pay attention to others that are approaching. He wasn't able to notice the others it's only when they maybe called his attention. But at that moment watching it several times my observation was. The reaction was like after jimin bowed "Oh shoot, I bowed at JY instinctively!" Then JY was able to successfully ignore it for them not to cause ruckus to fans. Then Jimin realize what he just did in just a few moments, took another look to check jeongyeon if there was any reaction, that is why he didn't notice the others. Then jimin wave to someone like oh yeah yeah for the sake of noticing that person, bowd to other twice members then he drank water thinking oh boy that was close. You will notice that he seemed to panic for a bit specially the part where he was about to put the bottled water back to the table, his hands place it back with force. Like he realize uh oh I shouldn't have done that. So if you notice if you have done something out of place you either drink water because you feel your troat is dry, scratch your head, cover your mouth or do any hand gestures. I couldn't agree more. Just want to share as part of my personality, an observer, the part where jimin bowed and jy did not bow and take another look then wasn't able to pay attention to others that are approaching. He wasn't able to notice the others it's only when they maybe called his attention.
But at that moment watching it several times my observation was. The reaction was like after jimin bowed "Oh shoot, I bowed at JY instinctively!" Then JY was able to successfully ignore it for them not to cause ruckus to fans. Then Jimin realize what he just did in just a few moments, took another look to check jeongyeon if there was any reaction, that is why he didn't notice the others. Then jimin wave to someone like oh yeah yeah for the sake of noticing that person, bowd to other twice members then he drank water thinking oh boy that was close. You will notice that he seemed to panic for a bit specially the part where he was about to put the bottled water back to the table, his hands place it back with force. Like he realize uh oh I shouldn't have done that.
So if you notice if you have done something out of place you either drink water because you feel your troat is dry, scratch your head, cover your mouth or do any hand gestures. That is an initial reaction that we call when we panic when you're hiding something or protecting something. Let me know your comments.

good theory! however i dont think the bowing was accidental, because later on in the night he freely reacted quite enthusiastically to her parts in twice's performances. so if he didnt want to cause a ruckus with fans he would have either shown no reaction or the same amount of reaction he displayed towards the other girls. i honestly think he meant to bow to her and if you pay really close attention, she inclined her head ever so slightly, she just didnt look directly at him. maybe he expected more attention and thats the reason he decided to turn back around, maybe he just wanted to look at her more , i'm not sure...but i agree he did seem flustered/frazzled after the small interaction...hence the awkward handwave and water drinking.
