Same way some predators will prey on other people’s children but spare their own children of being SA. It likely came down to being “encouraged” to bring another victim in and often times the grooming has been going on for a while and threats have been proven true or likely. Diddy clearly had a lot of power and connections so it can be easy to strongly encourage their victims to comply with demands years from the attacks especially if the victim feels they can’t get justice even if they spoke out. I feel sorry for their young selves.

Most of that took place before metoo and society really dissecting child star abuse and culture. Stage parents were the norm and they had an idea that they were doing ehat was best for their kids dreams. Some of them anyway. Some were ignorant to any abuse happening and blinded by the star power and their kids careers finally taking off. Just a way to understand it, it's still no excuse though obviously.
I use to think like that until I realized that older folks especially the poor ones tend to look up on these people from pastors, to the rich, famous etc. They seem to think that they are “trust worthy” because of their status. But what they don’t know and realize there is always a price that comes with that lifestyle. Sad 😔
