Epic London 2 Brighton Back 2 London w/Dirty WKND

So I totally bonked this weekend on the return leg of the London to Brighton and back to London ride with Dirty Weekend. It was meant to be a fast group but most of the people dropped out on the day except for a few guys from the orange group. We dropped our plans and led the way to Brighton. The weather was overcast but warm which made for beautiful riding and scenery.
I love the British countryside this time of year it's lusciously green with beautiful rolling hills. Not having breakfast was my first mistake eating a large vegan breakfast 14k from Ditchling Beacon was my second mistake. Having vegan burger and chips on the beach in Brighton was my third mistake. I felt good until 16k from Box Hill then my sugar levels just dropped. I had a gel and a cliff bar but it little too late as it didn't stop me from bonking while riding up Box Hill.
To make matters worse Willy's Wheels was having the ride of his life, the guy was ridiculously strong on the day. Some has been training hard secretly making some unbelievable gains. I would have struggled to keep up even if I hadn't bonked. I was being towed around at between 28mph & 32 mph a truly humbling experience.
