I wholeheartedly agree. I bought one in 1986 and I liked it so much, I bought another to serve as a spare. And when my uncle told me he wanted to buy a boom box for my aunt for the Christmas of 1987, he asked me to help him pick one out and this is the model I chose. The only difference was the color. The one my uncle bought for my aunt was like an army green whereas mine was entirely black except for the lettering. I liked the fact that it was so compact. It was only about 6 inches high and 20 inches wide. It also had a lot of great features. With the amount of volume it had and the 4-band equalizer, you could make any song sound good. On top of all that, it seemed to be well-made. It was heavy compared to other boom boxes I looked at. I wish Sharp would re-introduce this model but add a CD player to it. I'd buy one in a heartbeat.
Great model Sharp made

So we bought it in red and black. We're just sorry that you can't rewind the cassette on the first deck.
