I can't stop watching this video. Not only is this my favorite song of hers, but this performance is so incredible. Anyone who commented that she was struggling during this has no idea what a great vocal performance sounds like...this is just epic.

The recorded version is insanely hard to record! First time I see her singing this live and wow she struggled a little, it is a very hard song to sing indeed!!!! Still, she did fantastic!!!!!! LOVE kelly!

She had some vocal conditions going on. She looked great, but the stress to maintain her weight and appearance really weighed heavily on her. Give a listen to recent live versions and you will be amazed. She co-wrote this song with Ben Moody (of Evanescence) in case you wondered why it sounds a little heavier than most.
@@petervarcoe2030 oh yes when her vocals are in good condition, just wow! Better than the recording IMO. People need to remember, and this goes for anybody, when you’re having to sing night after night and your label is not giving your cords time to rest, with the demanding nature of most of her songs especially, they can only go so long before their vocals begin to suffer. After a while she realized that she needed to lower some of the keys when her voice was in danger of being overworked and a lot of singers do that and that’s ok. It doesn’t diminish their talent. Singers are only human after all, not machines. Add the other factors too that you mentioned but I think when you consider all that, she still did a phenomenal job under the circumstances here. And also, this song is not easy to sing at the best of times. It’s one of my favorites of hers though. I wish she sang it more often on tour.
