Lost castle 1 is my favorite roguelike of all time. The totem staff in multiplayer is the best weapon in the game imo

Would love to see more vids on the game, very excited for it as a fan of brawler style combat, although it definitely does look very monster huntery, which is also a plus I'd say.

the first one had more exploration and random dungeon crawler type stuff. this one is a bit more forward, the combat is so a lot better which makes it great.

Litterally soloed all the bosses of the game with full meta progressed staff. I love the mage class in the game so gravitated to them instantly but the game overall seems balanced in terms of the classes and the experience is amazing when you master a single weapon to perfection.

It's a good game, but doesn't worth the price if you want to play multiplayer. The constant network desync sucks a lot

It definitely is fun but my mate and I finished the whole game in about 4 hours... i get that you can just replay on a harder difficulty but it feels lowkey underwhelming to beat it after only 5 bosses

It's early access... and that's the entire point of this genre. There is no rogue-lite genre that doesn't require you to replay the game.

@@sarkaztik3228 yeah i get the early access part fair enough, but as it stands for now you finish the game in 4-ish hours, maybe only 4-5 replays, which sucks for a rouge-lite. Still loved it tho don't get me wrong, waiting for updates.

i like it but the doge rolls need beter polish and the boss pattern are to easy took me like 5 houers and i can finish all of them except last two without getting hit talking twin daggers btw

Well, those would be the easiest weapons not to get hit with, especially if you're soloing, to be fair (bow might contend). What difficulty were you playing on? I've found that Hard mode is the only mode that gives any sort of challenge at all. Normal is way too easy and I haven't even touched easy.
The only problem I found with the dodge roll is lack of dodging up and down correctly You go just slightly up and forward, which can often put you right into an attack when it shouldn't. If any enemy/boss is running straight for you, a dodge roll should be able to avoid it, but many times it's better to just walk above/below them which is strange when you have a dodge that should be better.
Some boss move telegraphing is also bizarre. In every other game, if a boss or enemy is signalling a circle AoE, once the inner circle meets the outer circle, that is when the attack goes off. It's timed for when the circles meet. In this game, most of the time it does just that, but there are a few attacks on bosses where it shows the AoE and then after the circles meets up, there's like 2 seconds before the ability goes off. It doesn't really make any sense.

depends on your weapon. Greatsword is all charge attacks for example and staff you're spamming basic spells until you have enough energy to cast your special.
