- UC Riverside faculty share their newest research on how cannabis can affect metabolic health and disease and hemp farming. Nicholas DiPatrizio, Associate Professor of Biomedical Sciences, is working to discover and develop novel therapeutic strategies to safely treat obesity and related metabolic disorders. Emma Aronson, Associate Professor of Microbiology and Plant Pathology, is investigating soil, root and plant microbiomes of hemp and cannabis while leading a new CNAS initiative that takes a more holistic approach to this study. This event is part of our UCR Expert series that highlights UCR faculty and their groundbreaking research.
This is amazing information and it’s so refreshing to hear it from people off prestige and in well respected positions. No disrespect to anyone who has done cannabis research through the world and over the years but as a man who lives in the north off ireland and is occupied by British rule and their law this really gives me hope and excitement that maybe one day I can work in this field

That's roughly 30 million people times 50 years. This equals one and a half billion human years of experience with weed. What more could we expect to learn? It's harmless.

@@larrytate1657 its a stimulant and like most stimulants it raises your blood pressure, heart rate and can cause poor sleep/reliant on less sleep. So the end result will actually damage your brain.
The problem isn't cannabis. The problem is Greed. The problem isn't getting hi. The problem is getting low. However, the best way to be is in complete consciousness.

Why is it that I can smoke 4 joints throughout this session and remember its information? Selective memory? Complimentary learning of smoking and learning about weed?

Our bodies are familiar with hemp in its natural form. We have used hemp for thousands of years that way and our bodies recognize it and are able to use it effectively that way. Spagyric extracts are the closest to the natural plant

how does cannibis effect cancer cells?
I don't believe there is much research on that topic yet. Hopefully more studies will come out regarding cannabinoids and cancer soon.
@Mr Nobody but apparently cannabinoids disrupt our immune system, so can cause sickness, yet yes, a very very high amount of cannabis disrupts the immune system so much, that it disrupts everything including cancer cells. the more I read, the more confused I am about good or bad lol
