    I'm happy for Worthy. He said this was his dream scenario, and it actually happened for him. And with Andy Reid, who knows exactly what to do with these burner types, he's as set for success as he possibly could be.

    I think Kingsley Suamataia has the chance to make the biggest impact over time. He's massive, has football in his blood, and there's nothing better than an anchor at LT, and we've been really hurting for an elite talent at LT.
    As far as day 1 impact, it would be hard to expect anyone besides Xavier Worthy to have the most day 1 impact, as he might be the only day 1 starter from the draft. With that being said, I think there's a small window of opportunity for one of the rookie CBs to win the CB2 job playing opposite McDuffie. Most likely would be Kamal Hadden, but Miles Battle at 6'3", 200lbs, and a 4.37 40-yard dash at his pro day is intriguing. Kamal Hadden is definitely the frontrunner in the darkhorse CB2 race for me, and I think he likely would have gone higher than the 6th round if it weren't for the injury.
    Honorable mentions to Carson Steele and Louis Rees-Zammit. They're both such fun stories, and I hope they can find their way onto the roster. I think the backfield combination of Pacheco and Steele would be terrifying for defenses. For LRZ, I think he could make a day 1 impact on special teams. He's big, strong, fast, and coming from rugby, his ability to move in an open field should be elite.

    Not a chiefs fan at ALL… However.. Reid is the most genius coach of all time. Championships are coming for them and his development of this young team. Zammit will fit in beautifully in their special teams setup as well as a slot threat.. definitely going to be exciting to watch

    I would much rather you drop passes in practice and tear it up on the field. Unlike the guys that catch everything at practice and drop during game... Some guys practice does not translate to field play.

  • @rashidcoletraincoleman3013
    @rashidcoletraincoleman3013 Місяць тому +3

    Definitely Xavier Day 1. His intelligence and work ethic on top of his talent will make it damn hard to keep of the field. Watching enough of his film shows you how many yards and TDs he missed out on just from QBs having noodle arms and terrible accuracy. There were so many times he had to damn near walk or stop because a ball was so underthrown. That wont be the case. Hollywood Brown will also benefit heavily from having Pat as QB1.
    I'm excited about LRZ because he does his best work in space. And Andy specializes getting people in space. I don't know if he would clear waivers tho. So if he doesn't make the 53, I don't know if he will make it to the practice squad.
    I think the biggest X factor is Wiley. I think 12 personnel is going to be a nightmare for defensive coordinators. The only thing scarier will be 11 personnel when Rice, Worthy, Brown, and Trav going out for routes. Who do you double??? How far do you play safeties with Pacheco in the backfield?

      Exactly.. I've been tryna tell these novices... Jared IS gonna be a nightmare, he IS the hidden Gem ppl won't see comin'... have ppl forgotten so quickly why Brady was able to get it in the endzone every time? It's cause he had 6'6" monster... 😂

      @DwainWilsonJr He damn sure was turning a lot of heads at rookie camp. From what I heard he was the most consistently high performer. Caught everything thrown his way and showed damn good movement skills. I wanna see Reid against him.
      Worthy just improved day after day during rookie camp. Said he did HORRIBLY day 1. Then really good day 2. Then excellent and looking totally the part of a 1st rounder on the last day.

      @DwainWilsonJr I am so pulling for Steele. He reminds me of Kareem Hunt more than anyone. His contact balance and power is special. If we can get him a little more limber he will have a chance at being a great backup to Pacheco. Teams would get no easy run downs 😂😂😂. Just shoulderpads and angry running.

    You said LRZ name correctly, his father played football so he is more familiar with football than you realize he also grew up watching the NFL. He also had a great performance in the Rugby World Cup in 2023 and he ran 24 mph last year in a rugby match his ability to cover kicks and tackle will make him an asset on special teams on day one.

    A lot of people don't know Worthy played with a broken hand and only had a 10% drop rate which is still better than the top WRs in the NFL. Every other year has been 8% or lower. Which is good!

    Is it me, or does that rugby guy run REALLY weird? Are they working on that?

    • @nickwilliams2415
      @nickwilliams2415 Місяць тому

      Andy Reid mentioned that he runs a little too upright for football, and that he should learn that the first time he gets tackled. They tend to run more upright in rugby, because they don't tackle as hard. In football, you have to stay lower, because often times whoever has the lower pad height wins, because players tend to just full out hit each other. In rugby, the tackles are generally not two players going full out straight at each other, and just seeing who bounces off of who. He'll learn when they go full contact.

    • @julienporisse9902
      @julienporisse9902 Місяць тому

      Actually in Rugby at pro level the hits are very hard. I played both sports, rugby is very hard at top level. Louis Rees Zamitt knows how to run. What he needs is to learn formations, plays, and work on first impact spinning running through tackles and pass protection (RB’s help out!)… match experience. He’s a major athlete

    • @nickwilliams2415
      @nickwilliams2415 Місяць тому

      @@julienporisse9902 They tested this like 2 decades ago on sports science. The force on the body is about the same between rugby and football. The difference is the pads. You have to hit much harder in pads to have the same force on the body. That's exactly what sports science proved. Football hits are significantly harder than rugby hits, but the impact to the body is about equal due to pads vs no pads. Tackling in rugby always takes technique. Sometimes in football, you just run into the guy you're trying to tackle as hard and fast as you can, and hope he falls down. I'm not trying to say that the hits hurt any less in rugby, just that they're different sports that require different techniques. One of those differences in techniques is tackling with vs wothout pads. Specifically if you're running more upright, you'll get the shit knocked out of you in football. You can't just pitch the ball away when people get close, either, so you have to take the hit, or get down. If he chooses to take the hit, he'll want to lower his shoulder pads.
