*WARNING* Indiana Jones goes through a cave with a lot of scorpions, we've added markers for when they are on screen. There's also a section where there's a Hitler portrait hanging out in the background, we've put markers for that aswell in case you don't wanna see his face. Speaking of face, during a cutscene a man gets elbowed in the face and his nose gets messed up, we've adde a marker for when it's up close, thought it continues to be like that for the rest of the cutscene. The discussion in the beginning is giving me hard flashbacks to the Indiana Jones fanfiction I wrote in third grade, which was a self-insert about his daughter, Louisiana Jones... And her siblings, Nebraska and Carolina
1:45:28 is very unintentionally funny. It’s the correct text from Genesis, written in Hebrew cursive, but they clearly downloaded a random Hebrew cursive font from online. And the one they picked is incredibly loopy and cutesy. Voss has the Hebrew handwriting of a beis yaakov girlie
The Egyptians had decent access to gold because the entire Nile valley and its surrounding environs is (or certainly was) relatively abundant in it. They typically saw wood as more precious because they could only really ship it in from the Levant, (Lebanese cedar typically.) If you ever watch a show/play a game/read a book/comic of someone exploring an ancient Egyptian ruin lit by wooden torches it's historically inaccurate because Ancient Egyptians would have considered that a truly insane waste of precious resources. [Edit - Also, despite what Indy says, Sumerian script does not predate Egyptian by centuries, though this was believed at the time the game takes place. The oldest piece of writing ever uncovered is, at the time of this comment, Egyptian.] As for dyes the blue that was most commonly used in Egypt was a form of copper silicate that we're still not entirely sure _how_ they refined. And yes, purple dye (specifically Tyrian purple) was made from sea snails found around the coast of Tyre. It was so absurdly expensive that it was made illegal for anyone but emperors to possess clothes dyed with it in Rome. The dye in its purest form is also a High Chroma colour, which is to say it's in a range of colours far too vivid for standard computer screens and TVs to actually render correctly.
Seeing Gina doing the most insane walk-and-stare, skyrim-rub-turning the corner, and phasing herself into jail is the best thing i’ve ever seen, I haven’t laughed that hard in weeks

I bought this game because you guys made it look so fun and barreled through it. I have to admit, I have more fun hanging with you guys playing it then playing it myself haha
I'm afraid whenever I watch these VODs I will have AQUA's Doctor Jones song stuck in my brain the whole time. Everytime the characters say Dr. Jones my brain goes "Calling Doctor Jones! Doctor Jones Doctor Jones wake up now!"
I grew up with gamer parents, and it's honestly amazing, we always had the newest consoles and games. I'm 25 now, and I still love talking with my almost 65-year-old dad about whichever new boss he beat in Elden Ring
re: Literal word-for-for translations vs translating the overall meaning My school was french but sometimes we’d get english kids who only learned french in middle school, but I’ll always remember the time a teacher made a joke, and one of the kids said “Bon un Madame” 😂😂 He meant “Good one, ma’am” but it translates more like “Good, a lady” 😂 It became an inside joke for the rest of high school
I pulled up this video to have on while doing dishes, and then I realized i couldn't hear shit over the sink, but then I remembered the stellar captions that Kaz does, and they're incredibly good thank you Kaz
1:04:00 the game really pats itself on the back for barely acknowledging the criticism of Indiana Jones style archeology. Gina is sooo impressed that he's letting a local museum have it and not just stealing it. Glad they're trying?
New Mexico Jones is kinda mid, and you can't just cut the New because Mexico Jones would be a totally different thing. Lots of cities in New Mexico that you could use instead though. Albuquerque Jones and Santa Fe Jones are both great options.
This made me try it with some other Countries' states and provinces, and while many of them work, Chihuahua Juan sounds more like laughter than a name.
I have a Drawfee influencer grift idea: Release a second Drawfalong book, double, or better yet triple the price, advertise it as super interactive and with instructional/helpful videos from each of the team, then it's just a 1 page pdf that says "Just do it. Go on. Draw. Now. Do it."
It always amuses me how religious Indiana Jones (man and franchise) is. And it's always somehow the 'correct' take to solve the mystery. They also fully take relics of other cultures with no repercussions or reparations.
Here they at least have him talk about the thing "not belonging here" and he sends the Egyptian artifacts to an Egyptian museum. Still silly to just grab random things because you don't think they belong, but a lot better than breaking into tombs to grab stuff.
I studied some Egyptology and while the ancient Egyptians did have a lot of gold over their many different war companions, we think of them just covered in gold cause of King Tuts tomb having a lot of gold which is more reflective of how much the Egyptians valued their pharaoh and how much Tut loved gold. In reality we think gold was just for the elites in special occasions and Pharaoh's family to adorn themselves, i dont think they would decorate this location in the game with that much gold. Again I wanna state I studied some Egyptology and love the cultures in it, but am not an expert but my prof did talk a lot about Egyptian resources in our class and where it was used
@@SimonBuchanNz Hate to agree but every time some uninformed commenter talks seriously about lightbulbs or batteries or how impossible the pyramids were, dynastic theory [the idea they were made literate and 'civilised' by an external peoples], rattles off that old urban legend about the Sphinx originally having a dog's face, insists that Cleopatra was black*, talks about the Egyptian pantheon as if it were one static universal thing, etc. I do die inside a little. * To anyone reading this who isn't clear on the issues given their very close ties to Nubia ancient Egyptians were almost certainly black and most people who seriously try to refute this are eugenicists or regurgitating eugenicists but Cleopatra was a deeply inbred Macedonian representing a colonial rulership. I am mostly clarifying because it would be _very_ understandably easy to take that comment the wrong way unqualified given the current social media climate.
The guys in this game are me when i would play fight with my particularly rowdy friends and i didnt want to get hurt so i would go down in one hit and really sell that they had defeated me just so i could be out of the game and lay down for a while
"our kid is going to be asking us when it is his turn on the playstation" youre joking but that was me when i was a kid, my dad is a gamer and he bought the playstations 1 and 2 for himself first when they came out lmao, i'd have to wait for him to finish up his burnout car racing game so i could play spyro on the tv
Let she who has not chosen a problematic song to make out to at a really sweaty gig cast the first stone. Except don't throw solid things at gigs, that's really dangerous.
In light of the bad and good bad star wars discussion, i actually did like Skeleton Crew and would probably recommend it. It was different than most star wars, less serious but with an interesting setup and I thought the plot was actually interesting and the characters fun and memorable. I was very apprehensive of the starting setting and main characters feeling like modern suburbia and like young kids today to a distracting degree, but then it was so thoroughly justified by the plot in a really interesting way. I'm sure it's not perfect, nothing is, but it was surprisingly good.
I’m sure someone else has said this but please do a drawfee of drawing other state jones, or maybe on a stream. I want to know if my imagined New Jersey jones and is similar to yours
I get the feeling that Jacob's refusal to do side content is going to hamper this playthrough. You can miss a LOT of vital upgrades as well as important information by not doing the optional content.
The discussion at the start reminded me of a DND character I have who is the antithesis of Indiana in which she is a lesbian archaeologist who steals from museums to return artifacts to their original cultures. Her name is Montana Jackson, her ex-wife was a museum curator. So really, they missed out on Montana Jones
the beginning discussion reminded me of that one bit in the short-lived cartoon network show incredible crew where jeremy shada played "minnesota rhodes" for an indiana jones parody and like yeah. most of the states make for surprisingly cool names
not really a comment on the video other than good video fun! keep up the good work yall, BUT, its funny sitting here at roughly 2 hours after its posting seeing the likes go up bit by bit
When my sister was pregnant with her first, they decided to wait until the baby was born to tell everyone his name. I teased her by saying they were going to name him Lego because her husband likes building with them. so for the rest of her pregnancy I referred to him as Lego.

Voss, laying on the rug of his office, kicking his legs like a schoolgirl

"Dakota Jones" sounds like a kid detective from a middle-grades novel
encyclopedia brown type name
sounds like dora the explorer-esque spin off featuring indiana jones' niece or whatever
Mississippi Jones sounds like a bootlegger who makes insanely strong moonshine.
I DM a dnd game for my friends and had an NPC that I name Moonshine Joe just to make sure they went and talked to him
Gina walking away at the end really got me 😂😂 She truly is something else
LOOK AT THE NEW OVERLAY. it looks so good jacob!
I really hope someone makes a "Gina" compilation after this playthrough
Super nice of the ancient Egyptians to make their buildings accessible by whip
Inclusivity

genuinely have been loving these indiana jones vods! love all the bits where you yell at gina for acting weird XD
yes!!
I bought this game because you guys made it look so fun and barreled through it. I have to admit, I have more fun hanging with you guys playing it then playing it myself haha
If you're looking for a set of people to play with, I think the SSS and Drawfee discord have spaces set up for it.
Aww I totally get that! It's the company, not the game
1:35:26 to be fair to baby, he ain't done cooking, he doesn't want to be seen until he's absolutely fully cooked
1:27:48 Gina had that stone cold knock out and casual walk away
Can we as the audience call the J&J spawn “Little Andy” for Lepetit Andrews?

Omg. The gamer parent convo...my kid literally kicked me off the switch so she could play.

Victoria Jones sounds like she wears cool boots
And does with most Canadian provinces.

So, like most cultures with precious metals/jewels? (Reserved for the elite)
