Great video and really handy to see how you got on with fitting these including moving the fuel tank! Just in the process of fitting the same to my 88 Mini over in the UK 🚗
It's amusing for me to see you doing this. In 1974 I had a MK2 mini in the UK. It had the very lights you are fitting in this video. Then I discovered that the Innocenti Mini in Italy had the lights with built in reversing lights. Via a very complicated route, and calling in favours galore (no internet or mobiles back then remember) someone brought back from Italy a new pair of Innocenti lights. Very proud to have the only UK Mini in '74 with built-in reversing lights! haha funny old world!
First, great color on your Mini. Nice clear step by step including the wire mods. I have essentially a MK III (same tail lights) but it is a clubman saloon. Mine are no doubt the originals and this video inspired me to buy a new set from the UK, especially with the exchange rate currently at 0.92 pounds to $1 USD! (I'm in northern California)
just watched the video..what an awesome shout out.. thank you so much for that! I followed you with my main channel so i can stay up to date with the videos more easily.. cheers, rush.
Hey man - you didn't help me with the tail light install as such, it was the fuel tank removal I was having trouble with! Because I was in the boot of the car, I didn't notice (or even think of) the fuel cap getting caught on the outside! Life saver dude :) I feel like an idiot tho :)
Hi mate you’ve done a cracking job on those. I’m thinking of doing the same but I have a question. Did you just leave the reverse light tucked under itself or did you do something else with it. Thanks Sam

...and I thought I was done tinkering on my 91. Thanks for the video!

Good job. My rubbers are leaking from rain so now I know how to replace them

Dude just swap the bulbs and holders. No cutting of wires and all stock look. Ground to nut. Stop doing jobs without research or knowledge!
