7 Years of Muro Crítico

''Muro Crítico'' is a project aimed at promoting dialogue between art, awareness and rural environment.
Art materialized in the creation of murals of different artistic styles in order to offer a varied and representative sample of the different styles which coexists in urban art. Carefully selected to the team of artists being their experience and trajectory our guarantee to ensure a good result.
''Muro Crítico'' is a project of quality in which each mural is a singular and unique work of art, inspired by the rural identity and in a desire for a better society.
Sensitization. Through the murals we want to generate a space for reflection and dialogue. The problems of our society, the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, the Human Rights and the vindication of the identity of the rural world are some of the sources of inspiration from which our artists draw to create their murals.
Rural environment. In each edition the festival tours towns in the province of Cáceres where over the course of a week, urban art murals are made. The close environment of our towns makes possible a real meeting between neighbors and creators. Experiences around art and the simplicity that enriches us people and artists.
After seven years in which a total of 74 murals have been created, ''Muro Crítico'' is established as a reference urban art project, the only one in this volume that has been promoted by a provincial council and whose special format also characterizes it as the only one that takes place in multiple locations, always in rural areas.
