This Shabbat, Parshat Terumah, we read about the parsha donations.
There are certain donations that a person has no choice. He has to give. It's required.
And every Jew gave certain donations. On the first day of Adar, we would announce the collection of donations for the public Korbanot.
But then there was a different type of donation we read about in the building of the actual physical Tabernacle.
This Shabbat, the Torah tells us every person opened his heart. Everyone donated according to the desire of their heart. Some people donated gold, some silver, some copper, some animals.
Every person was part of that permanent Tabernacle that we're building for Hashem in order to make a dwelling place here down in this physical world so that God's revelation and God’s honor could be revealed down here in this world.
Baruch Hashem, that donation that came from the depths of their heart was very precious before God. Even the most simple donation of the poor man was something so, so special.
Today, the Jewish nation is fighting for survival, for its existence and we have very different soldiers in the army.
We have those fighting in top elite units. We also have people taking care of the army bases, cooks, chefs, people who have supervisors, Jobniks.
We have to know that every person had a tremendous chelek in building the Tabernacle here in Eretz Yisrael.
Hashem should watch over our Tabernacle and everyone should come back unharmed from any place and unharmed from any others that are trying to destroy it and Be’ezrat Hashem, veshachanti betocham. Hashem should dwell within us in an open and revealed manner.
    Shabbat shalom.
