You wouldn't believe that you are the 4th person I watched today on doing these tutorials. I am so glad I decided to watch yours too. I absolutely love your method, it's so much easier and alot cleaner. I started doing the one where you put the filters in food coloring and water and the color was so light and I had filters all over. Glad that's finished. I want to thank you so much 4 taking the time to demonstrate this method. Your roses are absolutely stunning and very real looking. Looking forward to watching u again.

I made a bunch of peonies, hydrangeas and roses along with leaves for each for my daughters wedding... All out of coffee filters. I dipped mine in food coloring watered down at first, then switched to fabric dye ( it takes very little, and you can blend them to make your own colors) and stacked them on styrofoam plates near my wood stove to dry. Turning and dividing the coffee filters 3-4 times a day. I did thousands of coffee filters (as each flower requires several filters) but at less than $1.25 for 200 filters~ $325 makes a lot of flowers! By doing this I was able to select the shades and graduation of color for each layer of every flower. It was stunning! It took me nine months to complete all of the flowers, and many blisters from scissors and hot glue, but it was so beautiful. And so cheap. We spent a total of $325 for flowers and every inch of the barn the ceremony was in was covered with chiffon and paper flowers. Some were stemmed on wires, and some were on dyed screwers for stems to save money. We made carnation filled hearts (carnations from coffee filters) and a HUGE "B" filled with white carnations as well, for the peak of the barn (their name starts with a "B"). It was so worth it to me, to make my daughters dream of flowers everywhere at her wedding come true. Hope my experience helps any of you contemplating such a task to do some yourself! 😊

You can put your dipped filters on a cookie sheet and bake them at 250 up to 300 for like 20 - 30 min and you can do fairly big bunches. If you take 4 or 5 filters and dip them then bake them they separate very easily. Great flowers!

Your flowers are cute, but I almost didn't finish watching this video because you talked way too much before you demonstrated your method. Your video was halfway through before you showed how to make your roses.
