I don't know if there are other rifles that also might survive these tortures, but this video confirms that this SAKO will. Sako: finest production rifles in the world...period. I own two, and there will eventually be more sharing space in my safe.
I have just bought the very last Sako 85 Bavarian (.30-06, set trigger, open sights) in Hungary. It was the last one in the whole country and they can't order this particular rifle from any other EU countries. I like the 85's design more than the 90 and the "ejection issue" is not an issue for me because I hunt with open sights. I feel lucky to get one.
Christensen Rifles makes a a beautiful carbon fiber wrapped barrel rifle. My daughter-in-law has one in .300 Win that is light as a feather even with a Quigley-Ford scope atop.
That's me hooked. I have searched for years for a rifle that could do all of that. The thing is most people know that a rifle will stand up to a good knock about but put a scope on it and you have to be careful.
I own this rifle in .308... I like "DESTRUCTION TESTS" in general... ...For this reason: I gave thumb up even before to watch the video; - "IF IT IS THE TRUTH, I LIKE TO KNOW IT ANYWAY" -. Thank you very much for the effort. P.S. - "NOSS4 FOR LIFE", i still miss you man -
@@hypehype1982 For just about any hunting out to 200-300 yards max, .308 seems like the instant choice. Almost no reason for anything else. For me it's different because in Ohio we can't hunt deer with tapered cartridges. Straight-wall only. That Sako still seems like an amazing rifle though and I will definitely put it on my list some day.
@@ethanwhitney6168 Ah I see I live in Victoria Australia, I normally only hunt Sambar most of the shots I take around 100 or so due to the dense vegetation. I have been able to take reliable shots out to 800 yards with it but not sure if I would ever consider taking deer past 500 with a 308, 500 yards is probably what im able to shoot with confidence of a good shot and of course thats on the prone on the ground with bipod and rear bag not off hand. Well all the best with your hunting adventures.
I like the channel, but why put mud and dirt on a rifle with tight tolerances. It should be clear to everyone that the lock is stuck. It's not built for that purpose. I don't understand the test.
So the moral of the story is. Don't tie your $2800 rifle to the back of your truck and run it over then shoot it because it knows better. But if you do it'll still hunt the next day after cleaning.
What's the point of having such an indistructible rifle that has no iron sights? The scope is going to be the thing that breaks judging by this video. Not much point having a rifle you cant aim!

These tests are all for show, they make no sense. If you want to test it's strength simply take a sledge hammer to it, but have the decency to show how that same test affects a non-carbon fibre stocked rifle...
Almost as tough as the Mauser 98 they where based on, which you can buy second hand for a few hundred quid and customise all you like, and chamber up to 50 cal.
Sakos 1 MOA test . I thought it was 5 shots not 3 . Show us the last two . Could I’ve gotten a tighter group if the tester learned to follow through rather than snapping around to look at the screen as soon and the rifle went off
I was under the impression Sako rifles are 5 shot group tested and tikka was the 3 shot group test . Clearly I do know better since I was coached by two coaches who had 5 Olympic medals between them and I’ve been shooting 26 years . But what do I know ???? Maybe follow through is over rated
Have to say that that rifle is in bench, where trigger pull will not affect.... love how you need to prove something with your ”experience” with shooting.
Don't drop a carbonlight!.....if you manage to put a small crack in the pistol grip, neither GMK or Sako will honour the warranty, this I know from experience, ..... this makes this demonstration of the strength of the stock a complete farce!
wow dragging rifle behind this monsters armour tanker was expensive, probably for filming needs 😊 somebody need overlooking efects,in reality its enough to drag this rifle behind off road bike 👍 i dont see point waist many and environment damage by exhaust fumes
Forgot... put in vertical rack in open safari car... momma rhino charges flips the car about 3 meters in the air and it lands upside down on the tip of the barrel... roll car over... then we will see !

That hurts to watch.
I'm sold.... I don't understand the 27 goobers that gave the video a thumbs down. Well done Sako.
C H It is a Sako. U don’t need to do the torture to know it is good. They should have given it to me

I've tried to watch 3 times and just can't seem to finish .They are things you just don't do .
Now everyone who buys a new Sako thats not quite up to spec will be wondering 'Is this the one that was on Field Sports Britian?'
😄😄
I was running this whole video back and forth to my safe to make sure my Sako 85 and its 22lr sister were still safe. lol
Mooi man.😁

Criminal to watch this happen, but its proof of the quality and workmanship!
One and Only "SAKO"
Which Sako 85 is more robust the Carbonfiber Stock or the Synthetic Stock?
When you need to drag a rifle across the ground so you convince your boss to buy an 8 wheel military vehicle.
I own the Sako 85 finnlight and its my go to. All other hunting rifles are safe queen's

Can you do this test with Blaser R8?

Is yours the carbonlight? How is the recoil?
I got one a few years ago, best thing I ever did it is easy my go to gun for deer. Sell your other guns and just have one.

Did it fix the ejection problem?...

All of this is good but they have changed the safety and it is not too the better. Please Sako we need a better safety it has to lock the firing pin.
