At the city in general your speed should be 40 mph, unless limited otherwise, at 2:40 it's limited to 30 mph. 9:35 it's 40 unless school children are present which the limit is 25. You are correct, no he did not. During rush hours or if it's not safe, the insuractors won't make you to change lanes. Turning left or right is some sort of a lane change.

how far away do you have to be from the curb for the backing ? does the whole tire need to be almost in the curb or ? please help me thats my only thing I have left to learn
Midnight Wolf, the written questions were pretty easy. Yes, there was one question that I got wrong. The question was about what do you do when approaching to the uncontrolled intersection? I chose, you stop and then proceed. But, the right answer is to slow down and prepare to stop, yield to the pedestrians and bicyclists or cars thqt t arrived before you. Otherwise just slowdown and proceed. Things that will help with the written tests (obviously): - Study the DMV manual - Take the 16 mock tests on the DMV website, a lot of them are included in the official exam - There are plenty mobile apps too, but I don't recommend, they will be confusing.
These two are not included in the test and I don't know the reason. But I should say that it's important to learn both at some points in time, especially the parallel parking.
It depends on the speed limit posted at each area, mostly I was going around 30 mph, sometimes around 45 mph (25 mph is the limit for the residential area or school zones when children are present, and 40 mph is the limit inside city roads unless limited otherwise), normally going 10 miles above or below the speed limit is practiced and won't matter.
Depends on the speed limit, usually it's 40 mph in city, 25 in residential and business areas. On this particular area, i was going between 25-30, it's a safe speed to maintain during driving test.
I failed my first one for the same reason you did, can you tell me how long does it usually take to reschedule an appointment at broadway? (Mine is January and I do not want to wait that long) ;-;
Hello, there are two ways to get an early schedule, 1) try checking the website every few hours, you will catch a cancellation, I got mine four days after I failed the first. 2) Keep checking the nearby DMVs as well, sometimes you need to be willing to travel some extra miles to get it done, I know a friend who traveled 60 miles to another county to take the test. Good luck.
Your test route is absolutely devoid of any events like, pedestrians walking around (or rather jumping into streets), ambulances and emergency vehicles blazing around, no school buses, with children spilling into streets. It would be interesting to see how one reacts to such situations.
It will be a fail by default at least in my case. The instructors are not going to push you into such situations, but sometimes that happens. Better to know what to do.

If you made a mistake, don't afraid to admit it and ask for a second chance, It's worth a try, good luck!
What DMV office was this?? my son has an apt at the one near mac road
Marlo Lopez this is the one on broadway. I missed mine and am taking it at the Mac Road one Thursday.
@@SundevilRoadrunner thanks!!
Did he not have you do any lane changes? I may have missed them.
You are correct, no he did not. During rush hours or if it's not safe, the insuractors won't make you to change lanes. Turning left or right is some sort of a lane change.
Did you reduce speed around school zone? tks for the video
No, because the students were not present around the area at that time.
@@abel791 tks dude! I passed my test today....
@@nobs-h2q hey. Congrats! Now, drive safe.
Does anyone know the location of where this test was taken specifically? Like south Sac perhaps?
No, this DMV locates in central. South Sac DMV locates in 7775 La Mancha Way Sacramento, CA 95823
@@abel791 GRJMIGISGFSIO THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO!! !!
Ha you drove right by my old job at UC Davis
I take mine today. God the anxiety is killing me! 😫
How did you do?
Abe L I failed . Was in the bike lane too long on my right turn. I guess he meant I entered it too soon . Idk but I have to make another appointment after my vacation in December 😩 we went the opposite direction of your route I was like “wait what’s going on” in my head lmao
@@africanhontas9737 can you describe what you mean by the opposite direction?? My test is coming up and this makes me nervous!
Is this south sac?
how far away do you have to be from the curb for the backing ? does the whole tire need to be almost in the curb or ? please help me thats my only thing I have left to learn
Zara Khan 18 inches is what the DMV manual says, just enough space not to hit the curb.
Is it south Sacramento
Question about the written test. Was there any question that stumped you? How difficult were the questions?
Midnight Wolf, the written questions were pretty easy. Yes, there was one question that I got wrong. The question was about what do you do when approaching to the uncontrolled intersection? I chose, you stop and then proceed. But, the right answer is to slow down and prepare to stop, yield to the pedestrians and bicyclists or cars thqt t arrived before you. Otherwise just slowdown and proceed.
Things that will help with the written tests (obviously):
- Study the DMV manual
- Take the 16 mock tests on the DMV website, a lot of them are included in the official exam
- There are plenty mobile apps too, but I don't recommend, they will be confusing.
Abe L thank you so much!
is this Broadway DMV?
Mudasir Aziz, yes it's.
I have passed. Same guy. He is always looking at his phone
That's probably one of his tactics
Is this the one on broadway?
Yes, it's.
Is this on Broadway ?
Yes it's
Which Sacramento DMV ?
Rob MM DMV in Broadway, Sacramento, CA
The one on Broadway
Where’s your 3 point turn and parallel park
These two are not included in the test and I don't know the reason. But I should say that it's important to learn both at some points in time, especially the parallel parking.
I failed mines on the first try and it was because of some kind of lane change it ended in like 10 min
How fast were u going the whole time?
It depends on the speed limit posted at each area, mostly I was going around 30 mph, sometimes around 45 mph (25 mph is the limit for the residential area or school zones when children are present, and 40 mph is the limit inside city roads unless limited otherwise), normally going 10 miles above or below the speed limit is practiced and won't matter.
are you going 25mph or lower
Depends on the speed limit, usually it's 40 mph in city, 25 in residential and business areas. On this particular area, i was going between 25-30, it's a safe speed to maintain during driving test.
I failed my first one for the same reason you did, can you tell me how long does it usually take to reschedule an appointment at broadway? (Mine is January and I do not want to wait that long) ;-;
Hello, there are two ways to get an early schedule, 1) try checking the website every few hours, you will catch a cancellation, I got mine four days after I failed the first.
@@abel791 could you give me some pointers for driving in the US (mostly Ohio state). I have driven in Europe (Germany, Slovenia, Austria, Czech, Hungary). However some pointers for US would be very welcome.
what caused you to fail
Aaliyah ... I failed on "left turn yield on green" it's a bit complicated when you start driving in USA for a month and half and I was so confused that I yielded for left too, when I wanted to move the light turned red and the instructor interfered, you know what that means!?
Anyone took the driving test at Carmichael?
I have a video following a car with an instructor on board, my friend and I were practicing around that area, we just following them, I may upload that.
Ok thanks man I will need that. keep me updated..
@@abel791 please upload
20 bloody minutes ????!!! Here in the UK it’s 40 minutes !!! Including 20 mins independent driving (sat nav) and 20 minutes driving follow the road signs or examiner’s directions … and include one mane-over and hill start practice or emergency stop !!!! Hundred times harder than California driving test !!
Hello, thanks for your video, it is very helpful . thank you so much :)
I am glad to hear that, you are welcome.
Did u pass
Yes
thanks :)))
Do you pass?
Yes, at this time which was the second attempt.
Abe L Oh, I take my on Thursday in this DMV. I wish I pass too !
@@smithhe9037 good luck, you absolutely will. Just be yourself.
Abe L Thank you 😊 ,I will tell you the result of my test on Thursday
Abe L I pass few hours ago ! So Happy ! !
I take my test tomorrow
How was it? I hope you made it
Oh shit this in oak park
i would have honked at that guy
Sandy Kumar, i had the exact same thought, but I refused due to the instructor's perception of the situation, I didn't know how he would react. People don't like honking in Sac, it should be used to avoid an incident. It would have been a different situation in SF though.
yeah I live in the bay area lol, and coming from India, very used to honking :D But in this it was warranted I feel.
