love the takes. I use it all the time now deeper than 20'. First time was with my dad and we didn't have indy set-ups as he likes to troll so we just went straight down with a type 6 and a clear intermediate that we had. We both nailed a few 2+ pounders that way. Also, rather than drop it straight down I like to cast it out and let it swing down so the line doesn't have slack, just in case you get a hit on the way down.

I’d like to add a couple of questions for those that fish with this method.
    1. Does there have to be a hatch in progress.
    2. How close does one need to match the hatch with their flies? I have a very limited number of patterns and no local resources to buy more. I DO have a large number of chronimid patterns however along with a few (very few) Woolley Buggers.

What type and pattern of flies work best when dangling?

Did you edit the part that shows how to set it up? Do you fight the fish with the roach clip on there?

At 1:25 after you find bottom you hand line it back up and take it off the clip.

Not quite the West Coast Express danglers eh Mo!? But by is the deep line dangling the bomb, especially in late June early July when the fish are deep. Guessing that's close to the rope swing out there?
    Thanks for another great video.

That was a ridiculous day Brendan. I was there and did a bunch of spot checks all over as I hate fishing in a big group. All I heard were drags being pulled for hours. I swallowed my pride and joined in on the outskirts and had a lovely day.

Took me a minute to figure out why you were using a hemostat as bait.
