Hey Cody, I’m just getting a 2024 Basscat Eyra. I know you’ve run that boat in the past. So why did u switch, was it a personal thing or a Basscat thing, (if there is a Basscat thing). Second, I was looking thru your old Eyra vids, I thought I heard you say you ran a 12” flush in the console and another out wide. My 12 is flush, was wondering how you mounted the side one? Lastly, how did you mount your pendant power pole button thing, Velcro’s or screws? Gl this season!
I switched to a Caracal STS because of the width, I absolutely loved my Eyra's, I just wanted to try something different! On the 12" outside, I would run a Boatlogix mount, I now run both on a dual mount by Boatlogix! The switch is put on with double-sided tape! Thanks for watching my videos, and good luck fishing!
Wish Bass Cat would stop trying to think out of the box and get rid of that recessed area at the front of the boat and shift the trolling motor pedal back some. I just love tripping over my graphs trying to get in and out of my puma ftd at the ramp. That being said, this is the first boat they’ve made that seems somewhat normal and that’s a good thing.
@@CodyDetweilerFISHING I’m not so much concerned with how they feel. I’m sure they are both better riding boats than the old narrow pumas. I’m simply referring to the layouts. They gave this new caracal sts the same layout as the cougar ftd, which has always been their most practical layout and I like that. I’m just making the point that they need to get away from that bow setup. No point in having that nice trailer access step and grab handle if you physically can’t enter the front of the boat without tripping over everything.
Sick video definitely my next boat
Thank you, awesome!

@@CodyDetweilerFISHING great info, appreciate it!
Why doesn’t it have the newer latches like on all the other STS models?
They did away with them. Some of the first models have them, they did keep them in the Puma STS!
Will 8' rods fit? If so can you do a demonstration of how well they fit?
They will absolutely fit!
How much is the starting price for this model
Check with your local dealer, I honestly couldn't give you an exact price!
Thanks God bless you and your family and good luck this season

You need to check out the Caracal STS or Puma STS, which is a totally different feel!
