The 'missing' analogue audio is really useful for mixed Digital and Analogue Rooms, such as America Link. Those UDP ports are NOT required if you are wiring a radio directly in to a PC without an HRI-200.
I can get all that to work except mine only says local when I attempt to transmit. I can receive audio, but it only says local when I key up. I have been trying to remedy this for two weeks. All my drivers are installed. Everything looks identical to what you have on screen. Has anybody else had this issue? It has to be some weird setting or something. Thanks.
same problem. I tried everything with no success. I can hear the various chatroom but if I try to speak nobody can hear me. Red led when I press the PTT button is working but nothing is happening. Really disppointing. Cable kit is not cheap. better to buy an hot spot.....
Are you not supposed to start the FT5D up in PDN mode by pressing the X + BAND buttons while switching on the handheld? And then after everything in on, connected and software up, a quick press of the Wires-X button on the radio in order for radio to handshake with the software? This is how my FT3D works.
Hi, you need to quick press the Wires X button to "handshake" with the software. After that you will see your radio screen changes and then you can connect to a room. This is how my FT3D works
During the registration with Yaesu you are required to provide the Radio ID on the registration webform, you don’t mention this and Yaesu cannot register your radio. Your suggestion is that you obtain the radio ID post registration and this is incorrect.
If I hear the expression "IT'S NOT REAL RADIO" once more I'll scream every amateur has the right to use whatever legal mode they like stop being so snobby surely we'd had enough of that between some G3s and class B licence holders It's a hobby for goodness sake
