This is a VERY good setup for the videos it gives a lot more insight on the characters from someone who mains then and your own research. Good job man!
PaluWaifu That was a time when the game was evolving and we didn't really take the time to delve in our characters but just saw what was easiest to do at the time.
I loved the fact that you got Larry in to talk. It would be really cool to see more and other smashers give their take on their character in this series. Keep up the good work!
Love the format! Great video as always. You continue to refine your videos and the amazing quality keeps going up. Love the input from Larry. This is great for introducing these players to newcomers, and also bringing the players more close to viewers. Good stuff as always!
I really like the idea of getting advice from top players for these character analysis videos. Really helps put all the neat combos you mention in practical perspective.
Oh okay sorry, seems like I need to get my frame data checked... I was sure it was something like 7 - 8. Shulk doesn't have a lot of fast stuff... next best fast attack would be Dtilt maybe.
I love these styles of videos from you. Going through all the combos of a character along with having a top player describe their neutral is extremely helpful for picking up new characters! Excellent work!
Msc, this format was amazing and I really enjoyed the video. I was able to enjoy a top level player explain the information with your visuals too from the video. Character specific guides like this really help, thank you man
The question is not about where pikachu is in the tier list, but if Smash corner can make a tuto :) Pikachu is a very technical character with all his little option he can do to cover a lot of things. A tutorial could be very interesting to show all these options, cause as a pikachu main for month, i'm a little lost in all these possibilities. (Sorry for my bad english, i'm french)
I think this format is amazing as a character guide. Gaining tips from top players in the video is great to get an idea of how to play a character effectively. Keep 'em coming!
I really like the format/style of this video. You should do more of these with other characters and their respective top players. Keep up the good work!
I know how to play Ness, but I want to know more combos. If I only use one combo, people will catch on and then I can't land it. I did watch the Art of Ness video and that helped, but he didn't really say how to do some combos. Some tech he said in the video helped.
Thank you for making this. I hope you can make a guide for other characters as well. The format seemed organized, and having a top player to interview helped with credibility.
Cancer's point being that the question is somewhat childish/silly. Reflectors are generally punishable in the same way projectiles are: Understanding that at some point, regardless of what character you play, you'll have to fight out a neutral without hiding behind a special.
So, in other words, I'm playing Fox right, I just need to work on my basic defense and build better muscle memory. Though one thing to note: You're not playing Fox right unless you also make use of his blaster. There's no real reason for this, it's just something that you HAVE to do or otherwise you're not playing the LAZOR FOX right. It's like Zard-walking as Charizard, Hype-Punching as Donkey Kong, ledge stalling as Jigglypuff or doing the Divine Combo as Captain Falcon. Or crouching as King Dedede.
What specifically does tap jump off do for Fox? I'm a Fox main and while I agree that tilt stick is a must, I hesitate to agree that you can't use tap jump. I personally use it and it doesn't restrict anything - in fact, it makes lagless short hop up air WAY easier. Regardless, great video, I really think you covered everything for people wanting to get into Fox, nice job!
kyopamyu I suppose, but that doesn't explain why specifically Fox needs to not use tap jump. Also, with enough practice, you can learn to SDI without losing your jump even with tap jump on
Justin Rossman tbh i use to main a fox and i use tap jump and it works okay but uptilte is a god for fox i have some games i lost cause i did'nt uptilte
The only problem with lagless short hop up-air using tap jump would probably be that you have to flick the stick, which makes keeping your horizontal momentum a little bit harder. You could always map jump to a trigger and press that and tilt stick, but if it works for you as-is, more power to you. Someday I'm going to transition to the Pro Controller and take advantage of digital triggers and that extra shoulder button.
Am I the only one who thinks Fox is a really good character? I mean he has good recovery, awesome combos... I know he can get rekt but still, fox is badass.
Avante Fletcher Yeah it sucks when that happens. Even though he's not my main, when I do decide to use him, stuff like that happens. I try hard not to rage. lol
@mysmashcorner I really like this format for tutorials, having the allowed percents for different weights/fallspeeds onscreen is super helpful. and including a QA with Larry Lurr is hype!
As it stands, Fox and Pikachu are very good in EVERY canon Smash game, with their weakest iterations being Brawl and Melee, respectively. So yeah, just Fox things.
This format is amazing! Please do more! I picked up fox recently and was having trouble finding reliable info on how to play him correctly, especially in terms of his neutral and controller scheme. It's as if you made this video specifically for me 😁
this way of presenting character tutorials is way better than before, especially the interview, cause now the players that have doubts on his meta/playstyle can instantly change on the perspective of the best player who uses it
Thank you for this video! For a top tier who a lot of people use, it's been really hard finding something thorough and analytical like EOE (shout out to the most thorough and best tutorials ever on Peach, which I'm still learning things from and has helped me so much since near the beginning of smash4. If you are looking to learn peach, EOE and DarkPch are the two best to start with). I've been picking him up as a secondary for a few months now but this will help me get there so much better. Also thank you Larry for being willing to help with it!
I'm a main for a lot of characters, and since Fox is one of my mains, I could now see where my metagame has been developing. This is quite a strategic guide for Fox players to be better, including myself. Well done.
I like how when you were interviewing Larry you putted replays that were related to what you were talking, unlike other people that just puts random replays with the character or/and with the player
I love the set up for this video. This was your best video yet. I wasn't very sure if I should keep using fox because I didn't know that many combos with him but with the info at the beginning and the interview at the end, I'm going to become better than Larry himself. Just kidding, that could never happen.
Hm.. smash 4 on 3DS is dead now. Been dead for a few months.. but I suppose, for old times sake, I'll give this a watch one last time. I wasn't the best fox.. but this vid taught me the bread and butter of fox. Thank you mate. For the help in training, for the in depth and easy guide on how to do combos, and ultimately.. for the memories that made me a slightly better casual fox lol. I think I'll take this off my playlist.. but here's a gift for everything *Takes my weapon out of its holster and gives it a lil swirl before placing it gentle next to you* Please.. take care of it. Thank you ^^ Cya~ 🦊 🔥
I love this type of video. Obviously Larry knows stuff about fox so I think it's was a great idea getting him into the video. I agreed with most of the stuff he said. Great video!
that was amazing! I loved how you incorporated the interview with Larry Lurr. Plz someday do a (zss/Rosa/Bayo, etc.) Nairo/Dabuz/Salem etc. vid! It was really cool
11:34 I noticed the name of the characters from my favorite movie zootopia. That is the reason why I like fox. P.s How do you defeat Ryu or Luigi with Fox? I want to know that because I want to be like Larry Lurr in the future only better. There should be a matchup guide for Fox vs Ryu and Fox vs Luigi.
Holy FUCK is this a good format! Yes, more of these. If we get a Ryo one on Ike I'll flip my shit.
MockRock - Smash Bros and More As an Ike main I'd lose my shit lol
i like your videos!
oohhhh yessss, plzzz
Ryo doesn't really play Smash Bros anymore. I heard he had to sell his Wii U to pay the bills. I think he only plays it now for fun like with friends.
Colton McDonald noooo :,(
When I saw Ft. Larry Lurr in the title I immediately clicked on this video
Same
^
I saw MySmashCorner's name in my sub box, so i clicked on this video immediately anyways ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Smashachu he is famous?
@@TheXtremeDrums he is one of the best, if not the best Fox in the world
Yo that was great! This will definitely help a lot of people! :)
vyQ hi vyq
OH MY GOD ITS HIM
This is a VERY good setup for the videos it gives a lot more insight on the characters from someone who mains then and your own research. Good job man!
OH MY GOSH I HAVE BEEN REQUESTING THIS FOR MONTHS AND YOU INVITED LARRY TO DO IT
Seriously though great video
IAmThe Rufflett Lol that was my reaction
The interview + Examples is absolutely amazing!
Hey anyone remember when Larry Lurr said he was dropping Fox when they took out his double jab combo?
PaluWaifu That was a time when the game was evolving and we didn't really take the time to delve in our characters but just saw what was easiest to do at the time.
Eh I guess thats true
they didnt took it out, i still can do it in the game
TheMrDanieloco You used to be able to double jab across the stage (at least on fast fallers), now you can only double jab up-smash
TheMrDanieloco they did take it out lol
I like this format of videos.
Keep it up MSC 😄
I loved the fact that you got Larry in to talk. It would be really cool to see more and other smashers give their take on their character in this series. Keep up the good work!
"Mario Combos & Neutral ft. Ally! (Smash Wii U/3DS)" Next?
I wonder how many times we'll hear "Up-Smash"
its over 9000!!
Epic_stuff ally will just be like "up smash" done
i think anti would be better at a vid like that
Epic_stuff Do we even need one for Mario?
Love the format! Great video as always. You continue to refine your videos and the amazing quality keeps going up. Love the input from Larry. This is great for introducing these players to newcomers, and also bringing the players more close to viewers. Good stuff as always!
I honestly don't even watch these vids a day early on patreon, cos I wanna give you the views when it's uploaded to YT :P
Subscribers like you make UA-cam worth it, I'm not even My Smash Corner and I want to thank you for this comment.
Thanks buddy. Good karma back your way
This conversation made me smile. The world needs more people like you. ^^
Win Entity Nice people on YT are so rare. You gotta appreciate them when you find 'em ;)
You can say that again
I really like the idea of getting advice from top players for these character analysis videos. Really helps put all the neat combos you mention in practical perspective.
So we uploading at night??!
LET'S GO BOYZ
gitgud haters no
Is This The Krusty Krab why the fuck are you everywhere being negative and shit? it's honestly fucking annoying
David Fahlgren calm down
Diego Lol No he's right.
gitgud haters Do you live in America...
I think this format is pretty wonderful! Great having Larry on, and good job as always, MSC!
D tilt too slow.
Mfw I play Shulk and my jab is slower than that...
frame 7 is faster than every single one of Ike's options. >.>
but Shulk's jab is frame 5
Mylaur jab comes out frame 5 wyd.
Mylaur I know that feel. Palutena's jab is frame 8.
12:52 you mispronounced opeenion
ikr dislike and unsub
Msc, this format was amazing and I really enjoyed the video. I was able to enjoy a top level player explain the information with your visuals too from the video. Character specific guides like this really help, thank you man
Can we get a Bayonetta guide to see what she can do after the nerf
Cooper Fitzpatrick Agreed, maybe with a similar interview section with Salem along with it.
i agree with this request. Bayo, especially with Salem at the controls, is still capable of a LOT, so a proper guide would be pretty dope!
Cooper Fitzpatrick no
I love this fornat. Getting the opinions of a top player adds even more insight on a character.
Perfect tutorial !
Can you do one about pikachu featuring Esam ? :3 pliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiz
But-but... Pikachu is not even top 10...
Esam is irrelevant
ExtremeEpikness Pikachu has what it takes to beat characters in the top 10 atleast
The question is not about where pikachu is in the tier list, but if Smash corner can make a tuto :)
Pikachu is a very technical character with all his little option he can do to cover a lot of things. A tutorial could be very interesting to show all these options, cause as a pikachu main for month, i'm a little lost in all these possibilities.
(Sorry for my bad english, i'm french)
Esam already has an in-depth guide on his channel
I think this format is amazing as a character guide. Gaining tips from top players in the video is great to get an idea of how to play a character effectively. Keep 'em coming!
I'm surprised Larry didn't say anything about Kirby...
fox beats kirby but camp him
Trevor Wrldon what
Trevor Wrldon www.reddit.com/r/smashbros/comments/49qt8g/larry_lurrs_and_xzaxs_fox_matchup_charts/
Trevor Wrldon Kirby beats fox what are u smoking lol
Kirby isn't relevant in the current meta compared to Ryu, Lucario and Luigi so I think that's the main reason he doesn't mention him.
Honestly the most well put together character tips video I've seen. Very well done.
Great vid!! Pls do a Ryu guide with trela if possible!
I'm not even playing Sm4sh anymore, and I'm watching...
Can u do a villager combo video there isn't anything on him
I really like the format/style of this video. You should do more of these with other characters and their respective top players. Keep up the good work!
could you do some post patch bayo combos?
dude this new format is great, thank you so much. It gives you all the info you need right then and there. Thank you and keep up the good work.
Do a Ness guide please! You did Lucas and Corrin, now I need Ness!
Joshodude
Grab.
Joshodude watch art of ness by izaw
Joshodude watch Izaw smash guide, I think that one is just good enough
although some neutral game advices are always aprecciated
I know how to play Ness, but I want to know more combos. If I only use one combo, people will catch on and then I can't land it. I did watch the Art of Ness video and that helped, but he didn't really say how to do some combos. Some tech he said in the video helped.
+Joshodude that's the thing with ness. he can't do lots of things but for each single thing gets lots of reward
This is the best combo how-to so far from this channel. I love the "UI" feel to it.
So.....If I airdodge I get hit. If I jump I get hit. WTF AM I SUPPOSED TO DO ;-;
Don't get put into the frame trap situation in the first place.
Superdois
1.Pick up Rosalina
2. Abuse jab
3. Kill opponent at 4% with up air
4. ???
5. Profit
Just don't get hit ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Accept that the game has combos?
Superdois It's a fifty fifty. Mix up your options, and you should be fine.
I actually like the direction of getting a pro to talk since they would know their character way more than others.
Thank you for making this. I hope you can make a guide for other characters as well. The format seemed organized, and having a top player to interview helped with credibility.
Can you make a video about dealing with reflectors?
Can you also make a video on why daddy hits mommy?
The Simplest Form Of Cancer. What...
Cancer's point being that the question is somewhat childish/silly. Reflectors are generally punishable in the same way projectiles are: Understanding that at some point, regardless of what character you play, you'll have to fight out a neutral without hiding behind a special.
Well.what reflector is giving you.trouble and what character are you using
+Christian Morrow villagers pocket is way better
looove the format, finding info this useful and well presented its almost impossible
VestedUTuber why even post this? it's like your speaking to yourself.
drew avery
Some people could have other advice, and as a Fox main in training I could use as much advice as I can get.
I rarely use laser for I'm always pressuring my opponent. I only really use for F-throw off stage to one laser
VestedUTuber
they'd have to play you or see you play to properly help
laser is useful for getting rid of stale move negation
This was really good, love the interview too, really insightful. I'd love to see more of this with other characters too!
I guess being able to DI up without risking losing the second jump?
kyopamyu I suppose, but that doesn't explain why specifically Fox needs to not use tap jump. Also, with enough practice, you can learn to SDI without losing your jump even with tap jump on
Justin Rossman tbh i use to main a fox and i use tap jump and it works okay but uptilte is a god for fox i have some games i lost cause i did'nt uptilte

Someday I'm going to transition to the Pro Controller and take advantage of digital triggers and that extra shoulder button.
Justin Rossman I personally use a shoulder button for jumping and c-stick to attack. Makes it super easy to fast fall out of any aerial.
Don't play fox, but can still appreciate how well put together this is
Phenomenal job
Am I the only one who thinks Fox is a really good character? I mean he has good recovery, awesome combos... I know he can get rekt but still, fox is badass.
MT_KN Everyone thinks he's good now. he's been top-tier for quite some time.
Avante Fletcher Yes I know, but regardless of being top tier, he can still get rekt.
***** Yeah definitely. He can get up-tilted by kirby like 10 times XD!
Avante Fletcher Yeah it sucks when that happens. Even though he's not my main, when I do decide to use him, stuff like that happens. I try hard not to rage. lol
This format is amazing, I appreciate all the hard work you've put in!
i liek fox becus i can spam dashattack thin uptilts on for gory
I heard if you comment quick when a video releases, My Smash Corner has time to reply.
hi
My Smash Corner why'd you take the baiiiit
Rudle the prophecy is truth
Does this mean comment true combos into creator response during early-game?
Please do a Roy video!
MISHON COMPRETE
Holy shit this is amazing and I loved you contacted the pro to give his opinion, which was very on-point and informative
If u can tech = rip Fox.
lmao no.
@mysmashcorner I really like this format for tutorials, having the allowed percents for different weights/fallspeeds onscreen is super helpful. and including a QA with Larry Lurr is hype!
Notification Squad?
I loved this format, it's godlike
As it stands, Fox and Pikachu are very good in EVERY canon Smash game, with their weakest iterations being Brawl and Melee, respectively.
So yeah, just Fox things.
Pikachu's worst is probs smash 4 tbh
Fox's worst is Brawl. He's godlike in melee
Chocomilk 9764 I clearly stated that.
I thought you meant Fox's worst was in Melee. My bad
not your bad. their comment is pretty confusing
Really good format, having the pro talk about the neutral was a gud idea
This format is amazing! Please do more! I picked up fox recently and was having trouble finding reliable info on how to play him correctly, especially in terms of his neutral and controller scheme. It's as if you made this video specifically for me 😁
I really like this format. The interview gave further insight which was nice.
great video, also that Star Fox Zero Clip at the beginning was a nice touch.
I really like this new Format, you should do more. I love the idea of interviewing top players for insights. Keep it up.
this way of presenting character tutorials is way better than before, especially the interview, cause now the players that have doubts on his meta/playstyle can instantly change on the perspective of the best player who uses it
I loved the format- made me want to pick up fox with this in-depth guide and combos!
Thank you for this video! For a top tier who a lot of people use, it's been really hard finding something thorough and analytical like EOE (shout out to the most thorough and best tutorials ever on Peach, which I'm still learning things from and has helped me so much since near the beginning of smash4. Also thank you Larry for being willing to help with it!
This was probably the most informative video on a character you have done.
Thanks to larrylurr aswell.
I'm a main for a lot of characters, and since Fox is one of my mains, I could now see where my metagame has been developing. This is quite a strategic guide for Fox players to be better, including myself. Well done.
This was an incredible video; please keep the same format of showing the combos and what percentages they work on, and who they work on. Well done
this video is extremely good and well organized! Please make more like this in the future with other characters
I like how when you were interviewing Larry you putted replays that were related to what you were talking,
unlike other people that just puts random replays with the character or/and with the player
I love the set up for this video. This was your best video yet. I wasn't very sure if I should keep using fox because I didn't know that many combos with him but with the info at the beginning and the interview at the end, I'm going to become better than Larry himself. Just kidding, that could never happen.
Wonderful guide, need to watch it at least 10 times to learn all the information you out together. Also he recomendations of larry were fantastic
This video is really informative thank you for including top players knowledge on the character play style
This format is amazing! Keep up the great videos!
This format is sooo good dude I love it.
I love the format! this gives me a way to what to look out for when I am battling fox!
As a Fox main, I love this video. Awesome format.
I love this type of video, you should definitely keep doing this format
Please do More guides like this! I think the neutral is so important it should have a larger section!
Hm.. smash 4 on 3DS is dead now.
I think I'll take this off my playlist.. but here's a gift for everything
*Takes my weapon out of its holster and gives it a lil swirl before placing it gentle next to you*
Please.. take care of it. Thank you ^^

I love this type of video. Obviously Larry knows stuff about fox so I think it's was a great idea getting him into the video. I agreed with most of the stuff he said. Great video!
loved the format!!!! Please make more like this!
Incredible video! This is very useful, and very well done, I'll be watching this alot in the future.
Larry is very informative. Glad to see a new one of these.
Larry!
Haven't even started to watch the video, but I already liked it cuz I know I would do that anyways
Solid content Keep it up I like the interviews at the end
Larry is actually one of my favourite players.I love his play style and I hope this tutorial will help me to improve.^^
Excellent format, especially coupled with top player insight.
I really like this format! keep up the good work.
that was amazing! I loved how you incorporated the interview with Larry Lurr. Plz someday do a (zss/Rosa/Bayo, etc.) Nairo/Dabuz/Salem etc. vid! It was really cool
amazing how you still continue to make guides
This is fantastic! Please do more of these for different characters! Even if it's just the top tiers
I enjoyed the video, and I think the format transmitted the information well. A summation/review of the different combos might increase retention. :)
Amazing, thank you for this awesome video, the format is great in my opinion, keep up with your excellent work.
I actually like this type of tutorial. I suggest you keep it up with more characters and players in da future
This format is lit tbh, loved it
these are some of my favorite videos. I would like to see more especially with the top player input
I like the way you bring people who main the character
This is amazing content. Love the format!
definitely enjoyed this format. very great content.
I really like this format. And even as a Fox main I learned a lot today
Sweet I love this new format! It really helps to deal with some matchups.
