It really is. In the early 40's and 50's, You never have modern pop songs then instead you have an orchestra of music or you have to make your own. NET made their own music during their time when they are active.
The first logo of NET is using letters only, turned into a globe with a torch, and a house was formed with an outdoor antenna. 1970, one year of changing the organization's name as PBS, P-heads were presented. Until the time special presentation "Up Next" clip was made: Pink P-head kissed the green blue P-head who carrying B and S, until the P-head had came up with letters BS and formed the three capitalized words: PUBLIC BROADCASTING SERVICE. After this, changed again the logo. Now, PBS is using a P-head and a face, be siding. To this moment, this used in the 80s and I think that in the 90s, they have a jingle. After that, pink was the next colour, but still, their slogan is "This is PBS" that been added as "Be more." The Black circle is presented when the home video was made. For that time, the funding credits words had been applied: " This program was made possible [by the following sponsors-- for programs who needs sponsoring] by contributions to your PBS station for viewers like you. Thank you." This time, the "Be more" slogan was made with ads. However, saying that slogan was made in 2010/2011?. This led sometimes to having sponsoring.
Man, I wish if PBS wasn’t a private nonprofit corporation, the best mass media company to owned it would be Warner Bros Discovery, since CBS is owned by Paramount Global, NBC by Comcast NBCUniversal, and ABC by Disney
announcers 1968-1969: "the following is from n-e-t, the national educational television network" (opening) or "this is n-e-t, the national educational television network" (closing). 1969-1970: "the following is from n-e-t, the public television network" (opening) or "this is n-e-t, the public television network" (closing). 1970-1971: "this is n-e-t, national educational television" from the 1962 variant.
