Trigger warnings relative to true crime strike me as the height of absurdity, the equivalent of a sign at the swimming pool that reads: Careful! You'll get wet!. Why do you need a restatement of the obvious? You already know before you listen that a bloody, gory, sensational murder has occurred and that you're going to hear the details. It's not my intention to be harsh or snarky with you, but rather to suggest that healthy adults deal in realism. They're realistic. Let's be real.
@@cheriemartin3737 “Healthy adults deal in realism”-technically “healthy” people are not the ones that need trigger warnings, though. A trigger is usually not something that happens to people with lovely lives who have never experienced any hardships and just don’t want their rosy worldview crushed. It’s for people who have gone through trauma, who have PTSD. I’m not saying this to be snarky either, but a lot of people unfortunately do not understand the function of a trigger warning. It’s not about needing a detailed list or someone stating the obvious like “this episode... deals with a *crime* 😱”. Using your own analogy, a trigger warning would instead be a sign by the water that says no diving because you might hit your head, or watch out for a specific kind of fish that will bite you. Once you know the general danger, you can still walk into the water, but you’re prepared for what you’re getting yourself into. With the wrong people, with the wrong behaviour etc. Parents should be also blamed for playing their part for this girls brutal end.
I agree in spirit but this is a strange case to argue this... Seeing as how many women were complicit and actively aided Janet's kidnapping, assault and murder.
So essentially she was brutalized and murdered for sleeping with some of the guards? Well ...I guess there are consequences after all and sometimes disproportionately so.
Does anybody realize that this script has been lifted from other UA-cam channels that have told the story? The wording is exactly the same. I'm realizing now that the most likely means the channel is an AI channel
The channel has been running for years with the same narrator being extremely consistent. It's more likely that both videos used the same material as their main sources.
Why listen to podcasts like these if you lack empathy? The only reason I can fathom is that you find a sick thrill in the details of these cases. Way to tell on yourself, champ. Also it's Leprechauns, but I guess your inability to spell is the least of your issues.
SG Crime Footage tells a bit more about Janet with pictures. Janet entertained sexual immorality knowing it was wrong. I do mourn over her story. But she should have listened to her parents. This may be incomprehensible and minute to many, but planning to be a music teacher, singing opera, and being a smoker, does not speak of a persevering and determined student of music. She was young, naive, and curious about a part of this sinful, passing world that she was sheltered from as a young girl. ... ... ... ... God Bless You All In Truth and Repentance. - In Christ, Christina
How could Janet's parents think their daughter was still a nice Christian girl? She must have been one hell of an actress. If you play dangerous games be prepared for something horrific to happen. I am sorry this happened to her but she led a wreckless lifestyle. For those that will accuse me of victim-blaming, it is simply facts. She was a willing partner in the debauchery. Obviously not that night but what led up to that night.
Why didn't the police question the security guards after the crime intensely. Of course it was them! 30 years later....ridiculous. polygraph them all. The maids. Robert initially. Her friend. Come on.

Monsters.
👏👏👏
This happens wherever there are a bunch of men... it's one gender that does this consistently.
I agree in spirit but this is a strange case to argue this... Seeing as how many women were complicit and actively aided Janet's kidnapping, assault and murder.
Evil
Freaking creeps.
Poor Janet. Shame on Wackenhut.
If these cases disturb ye run to a safe space equipped with service lepricorns
You make me sick.
stupid repressive education pushed by zealots like you are the cause of such deviancy in behavior.
You are a victim-blaming POS.
Why didn't the police question the security guards after the crime intensely. Of course it was them! 30 years later....ridiculous. polygraph them all. The maids. Robert initially. Her friend. Come on.
