There doesn’t need to be a private property sign. There is a gate. It doesn’t matter if it is open. The gate denotes private property. The law is clear on the test - “would a reasonable person conclude that this is private property?” Indeed they would. You had no lawful business with the Company. Just fly your drone from outside and pop off. Easy.

Felt a bit sorry for the Security Guard, Siemens need to put him on a basic course to sort out where he stands on the law and how to talk to members of the public (there’s day courses easily available)…instead the poor bloke became flustered and he’s not paid anywhere enough money to be upset at work. Hope his firm looks after him better.

Also when he said you haven't got permission to fly your drone because it was a private company you should have told him that they don't own the air space. Otherwise for a new auditor, it was good.
