- Trappist Fathers can't spend all day drinking Quadrupels. They make a lighter beer to drink. Although commercial examples of this style are rare it is easy to make at home.

Ser god ut. Jeg håper jeg får snakket litt med dere fra Kornølfestivalen.
Love your tomatoes - they look very healthy. I suspect that a lot of brewers are also gardeners (like me). Thanks for your common sense videos... and I love the BTV / Chop & Brew / Don O cross-over. I've been all grain brewing for just over a year and love the creative process. #UKFan
Andrew, thanks for the great comment. It's always nice to hear that a few people enjoy the silly vids. And yeah it's fun to be part of Chip's vids and have him in mine. I just take the easy way out as far as production. I'll leave it to him to make them look and sound pretty. Good luck with your brewing.
Wow, your garden came on strong, looks good.
thanks. Nothing like your exploits but we do what we can up here. Ha.
I just ordered the ingredients a few weeks ago to do my first Patersbier, prettt excited to try that style.
Nice. Hope it turns out well.
"Cmon Bee I'll get ya some later" lol
I'm usually not a Belgian guy but this seems doable. Nice video Don. Nice shirt chip!
It's not very "belgiany" if you don't like them much. And fermenting on the cool side helps too. I still wear my Greenfield Hops shirts as well! Cheers.
thanks Don- nice recipe. My wife who is a bit of a gardner would tell me to tell you to sort of deleave a bit your tomatoes so they are able to finish better, cheers !
oh interesting. never heard of that idea. I'll look it up. thanks.
Fun vid. Garden and flowers are rockin. I really enjoy a patersbier. Did Brian use your recipe at 4q? Spencer Trappist near me sells their fathers beer commercially and it is yummy. Actually, I think I remember a video you shot tasting it. Maybe not though. Anyway, thanks as always and cheers from out East.
I have had that Spencer Ale and it was nice. IDK if he used my recipe. There isn't much to it. Just Pils malt and a Belgian yeast. Thanks for watching. Catch you later.
Interesting, I use the same recipe except yeast strain is Wyeast 3787 and run the ferment hot (80-85). Adds some interesting esters.
I think that is about the same yeast strain, just diff manufacturer. Would be fun to try a warm fermented one next to a cooler one. Wonder how much difference you get. It's fun we can make them however we want huh? Cheers.
Kale? What kind of soy boi are you? Ha Ha just kidding. All the beers I brew are about 4%, I know it might not be to style but it's nice to enjoy a few beers without all the alcohol. Looks like a tasty brew!
Cheers! =)
It's nice to have beers that aren't 7% alc, I agree. Don't forget to eat your vegetables. :) Cheers.
