- Cafe hopping in Jacksonville, Florida was such a fun experience for me and my friends, especially because I own a cafe myself. We decided to explore the local coffee scene and ended up visiting three cafes, each with its own unique charm.
Our first stop was 1748 Bakehouse, and it was love at first sight. The pastries were out of this world, and we couldn’t resist exploring the small market inside the cafe. It was the perfect start to our day, and we left with smiles on our faces and pastries in our hands.
Next, we stumbled upon Social Grounds Coffee, a veteran-owned shop just a stone’s throw away. Sadly, our experience there wasn’t as great. The drinks were a bit of a letdown, and the atmosphere didn’t quite match up to what we were hoping for.
Determined to end our cafe hopping adventure on a high note, we made our way to Setlan Coffee Co. in the Museum of Contemporary Art’s lobby. From the first sip, we knew we had found something special. The coffee was exceptional, with rich, bold flavors that lingered on our taste buds.
Reflecting on our cafe hopping experience, I’m reminded of the importance of creating a welcoming atmosphere and serving top-notch coffee. It’s inspired me to continue striving for excellence in my own cafe, ensuring that every customer leaves with a smile, just like we did on our cafe hopping adventure in Jacksonville.

Love the "Café Hopping" episode. Hoping to see more inthe future.
Yes!! Me too! Hopefully sometime in the next month!
As soon as you walked into Social Grounds my thoughts were "Oh no! There are so many more worthy cafes in Jax to visit." :( Community Loaves in Murray Hill is a great spot with a lovely outdoor patio. Bold Bean in Riverside is a great place to setup to work on a laptop for a few hours. Flamingo Coffee, also in Murray Hill, is a great hangout anytime of day as well.
😭😭😭 the coffee scene in Jax was so impressive. I wish we had more time to explore! We will definitely be back! 😊 Thank you for the sweet recs!
I loved the first coffee shop! Super cute!
Yes!!! Highly recommend! The service and the food were also so good!!

Hi from a new subscriber! 👋🏼 accidentally came across this video just in time for my own Jacksonville trip next month! Even more excited to check out their downtown now 😊
Yay!! That was the goal for this video! Hope you have a lovely trip! 🤍
Very cool!! Next time skip Jax and drive 30 mins more down south to St. Augustine, that's where I grew up, and they've got some cafes with amazing treats and coffee!
We went shopping at St. Augustine!! It’s such a pretty city. We didn’t visit any cafes though, but next time for sure!!
So cool! I love to see how people live in different countries. My husband and I just moved to Japan, so I'm also just in the middle of a home transition myself and I love to see how life in other parts of the world is like ☺ And I just LOVE cafés! So cool get some insights!
Oh wow! One of the things on my bucket list to visit Japan for their coffee scene! Heard lots of great things!! Hope you get to try out many new cafes! 💜
@@destrucshann You're right, there are plenty of great coffee shops in Japan! I just discovered a new great café this weekend. That's always such a great experience!
Ahh I used to live in Jacksonville! So glad you got to check it out.
Would also recommend Maple St. Biscuit Company! They have multiple locations
It was a lovely city!! We went for Jollibee hahaha
Will add this to my list for sure! Thank you!
@@destrucshann oh yay!
Do you guys sell the coffee beans you use at your shop?
Hi! We are not a roaster, but we do sell the beans we use at the shop. Our beans come from a local roaster in our city!
