Hi Troy, my son goes to Garston Manor. The MUGA that you graciously donated to the school has been a game changer for our family. He wasn’t interested in football at all until he went to Garston and started playing football In the MUGA. He now plays football for Everett Rovers Inclusive and mainstream teams as well as represents Watford in the disability cups. Much appreciated🙏🏻
at the end of the day stuff like this is all that matters, Troy's a real one, completely changed my perception of him this podcast did - what a true genuine person
👏👏👏
beautiful
What's a MUGA?

Met Troy a few times and he is a super blessed dude. And had time for everyone. A real one and was denied an England when he should’ve got one.
There was a time where he should’ve got a call up. I could be wrong but I think it was around Ricky Lambert times.
Loved that interview with Watford. Watched it live and my opinion of him switched 180. Legend.
Troy is a good man, always a pleasure to see him 💫
Troy is a perfect example of don’t judge a book by its a cover.
He's incredibly intelligent, which you wouldn't have gleaned by looking at him on TV or reading up about him. Class act.
God Bless You Troy Amen xxxxxxx And God Bless Your Earthly Life Time And Earthly Family Amen xxxxxxx
Your video was really impressive and kept me engaged throughout. Keep up the fantastic work, and I'm looking forward to seeing more from you in the future!
The same way he is on here is the way he is in person I saw him with the family in Oxford Circus
This guy very humble and wise
“HERES HOGG!…”

Fantastic show hi guys Giacomo
Big up pure respect for ya troy d hope you si new deal for us kro
Yeah money changes everything and mostly everyone at some stage sometimes for the better but unfortunately sometimes not.
Was working on Andre grey’s house a few years ago and get to meet the pair of them. Both top blokes
Andre Gray , not Grey.. by the way I’m his Dad
@@keithgray4891 how cool! No way?!
"I knew him when we were on trial at West Ham"

Hogg....Deeney!
Hulkkk deeeneyyyyyyyyyy!!!
“Was”
Troy Deeney OR James from SnG podcast 😂
classic
I was an even bigger knob.
What needs to stop is feeling guilty for having money
Top guy
I quite like this lad seems genuine 😎👍
Troy’s a real one 💯
Real one?
Real scumbag, yeah. You do realise he picked on people half his age. He stamped on their heads while they were knocked out on the floor.
Deeenney
STILL ARE
Saying sorry doesn’t make things good again. He’s a wrong un. Plain and simple.
A straight shooter hard to dislike this man
Class act. Love pro athletes/sportsmen who are actually able to be authentic.
Couldn't have said it better myself, he really comes across as genuine love to see it, i wish him well except against Arsenal 😁
Hes obviously not going to come off as a tool now!
Hm
"Class act"
The guy stamps on people's heads 🤦🏽♂️
He's a an effing tool.
He is literally like this in real life. A legend. He came into my work when they beat Liverpool when they were unbeaten, an I said well played an thanks for beating Liverpool, he just said ‘I’m just doing my job’ signed an autograph an always had time to speak. An his brother is sound there all so down to earth.
Troy is the epitome of a man who didn’t have much, but recognised it costs nothing to open a book, open his mind and heart to learn.
What book
Audible?
What a great guy and so down to Earth. Massive respect to Troy.
Troy could you lend me a tenner😂
😂
He told you, you only get to ask once and he won’t expect it back. At least make it £20 😂
Troy chats shit, he lent Arsenal 3 points twice a year for a very long time.
Arsenals bitch.
Keep smashing it with the clips Alf. Unsung hero of the team! Great guest too, loving series 8 guys.
What a bloke Troy is. Genuine good man
Proper lad. Proper Brummie. Honest and hardworking. Good luck for the future Troy.
Podcast has gone to a new level recently with the new studio - guest and main shows both class
As a dad of a child with autism what he did for that scool in his area is amazing and more people in his position in there local areas should be doing this!
I met Troy at an end of Season Awards dinner. This is a true Gentleman of the Game. He had time for everyone and was the most grounded Footballer I have met. An example to us all...
Obviously lots of respect to people like Tyson Fury who've brought mens issues forward. I equally appreciate Troy here. Being honest and being able to reflect and speak openly about conclusions isn't shown enough. Top video Happy Hour!
Great listening to Troy, as always. Such an honest bloke with a good heart. His tales of being used for his money and friends being there when it suits them hit home for me.
I've got a 'famous' pal. I say 'famous' as not many would know the guy now, but in the '90s and '00s he was massive, UK and USA #1 singles and albums, starred in a few movies, he was a big deal. I knew him pre-fame, during game and now after fame for well over a decade. It's amazing how many "mates" came and went during that time. The ones still left are the lads that knew him before he made it big, and a few lads from his band, that's about it. Plenty will come over in pubs to say hello, get a pic etc, but not many will offer to buy HIM a drink, they still to this day expect him to fork out.
I never took a penny off him. He gave my son 20 grand when he was born that went straight into a trust fund (my lad learned to drive and bought his first car with that cash) but I never asked for anything myself.
The guy is still relatively well off now, doesn't have the mega millions he once had, but he's comfortable. I know for a fact he still would have mega millions without all the leeches back then though, especially women, one of whom almost bled him dry - then went on to do the same to another, far more famous guy in a far more famous band. She's seen as a 'celeb' herself although I only know her as a user that's famous for being famous.
Always stick by your true mates, rich or poor, you'll always know which are which as the real friends are there when you're at your lowest.
All the best in life, Troy. You've earned it, you've made mistakes and learned from them as well as owned them and made yourself a better person.
Go on spill the beans
Well Said God Bless You Amen xxxxxxx And God Bless Your Earthly Life Time And Earthly Family Amen xxxxxxx
I have a close mate I grew up with that played in the Premiership and played for England.
I gave him a playstation1 back in the day when we were kids. I'm one of the only ones that never asked to borrow thousands to 'start a business' and never would have dreamt of it. I don't need any man to pay my way, I pay my own way and always have. We're still close mates
@@MonstaTrapz course you do fella
@@dajay2k Haha why would I make that up?
Had the pleasure to meet Troy last year at my work. I can honestly say he’s one of the most down to earth people I’ve ever come across.
Took the time out to meet and chat with the rest of the staff, take pics and just talk football. Top bloke. Coming from a Coventry fan.
Honestly wish Troy nothing but the best. Top, top bloke. 💙
Met Troy Deeney at a charity do once. He was surprisingly down to earth, and VERY funny.
bunch of grown men all circle jerking each other about the time you met another man.
being from Brum myself, he' changed so much. i seen him in resorts world bowling ally, didn't go VIP either with his boys. really approachable too. Top guy.
Buying a Chinese and some new clothes is spending crazy money for me once a month haha
Feel you mate, I work 6 days a week. And all my money goes on my 3 kids. Can't remember last time I got myself anything. But the kids are happy. I'm worth more dead than alive 😂
You can afford to buy Chinese and clothes???you lucky bastard
After rent bills 3 kids and shopping I'm hoping I've got £2 left for a red bull lol
@@lewisdowsett8390 least it’s red bull not spending last £2 on a shit drink
Good on you Troy, you've made a lot of people proud.
Trop did you play for ccc played against you in many finals for great bar falcons , we beat you a few times back in the day, you had Harry and Chubbse , we even went to Man City together and we got down to last 3, they wanted Harry ? You remember bro ? Flynn I am , I remember first game you ccc eva lost was against us. Me and Josh both scored, many many years ago wba took me on harder, horrific injury ended my football when I was 17. Memories .,
I've leant money to others before and it just never ends well. One person comes to mind it was around £300 to this day its probably been around 3 years now I constantly asked and asked and always said just pay what you can afford, Note he was going out drinking and smokes to. As time went on and on I gave up asking and just stopped associating myself with him. It's a bit bitter sweet one side he was a decent bloke then on the other side I've removed a friend from me that I cannot simply trust and who I deem doesn't really respect me enough to pay me back. The money isn't the problem it's the lack of respect he could of paid me £5 a month to fix the problem and I'd be fine with it but he didn't even try and make a effort.
Similar situation. We no longer speak. It wasn't the fact he owed me money but the fact that he went out drinking/smoking and even booked a holiday while he still owed me the money. Kept saying he would get it to me next week... Had to cut the guy out of my life as he clearly didn't respect me.
@@TrickyMicky123456 100% at least we learn a few things from this. 1 you have got someone out of your life that provides 0 value to you where you actually thought he did and 2 probably never lend money to anyone again just never goes well.
No point having mates like that
Hi, think lots of us had/have people in our lives like that.
The way i do deal with that is don't tell when you are going to pay me back day, time or date if you are not 100% sure you can.
Because at the back of your mind you make plans on that day with that money and if they don't pay you are let down. Its for me a persons word/ trust and not the money.
Scummy behaviour from your so called friend God Bless You Amen xxxxxxx And God Bless Your Earthly Life Time And Earthly Family Amen xxxxxxx. Same thing has happened to me also as we Good Human Beings seem to always get duped as we have Good Hearts and Souls x
Deeney went from the absolute pit to the palace! 🕋💰⚽️🤑… *A Top🔝 bloke!*
They should interview Ty from AFTV next! 😂
I could listen to Troy talk about his life for hours.
Troy’s a real one. Seems like just a lovely guy to have a chat with nowadays
Set looks horrible lads looks like a CBBC show 😂
As a Villan, Troy give us a lot of shit over the years, but his grounded personality has always been refreshing with a league full media prepped souless pre Madonna's
I’m a City fan but I always liked Troy when he was at Watford. Stand up guy
Sometimes i don't envy rich people. It comes with a lot a grief and hassle and you gotta deal with that carefully.
Met Troy back in 2019 when I was working in Ikea and he was a cool humble dude who allowed me and my friend to get a selfies when the store was busy. Forgot to ask him about that sick 2013 play off goal tho
What a goal I support West Ham and I roared for Troy when he smashed that goal in x
I was a bigger knob onn much less money.
The sign of a great player is you know what they do but you can't stop them doing it.
Troy Deeney should of played for Real Madrid
Troy Deeney is a class act 🍀👏👏
As a Villa fan I respect the man for his honesty and truth
Banter bus😂
Now imagine he actually made it and wasnt an average prem player, he would of been a right tool
Now I understand privilege. My grandad owned his house, my dad owned 3 houses and i own 2 houses already (not inherited). I have no idea what it means to struggle to pay bills. But, I have never considered us wealthy based of on the glamour of social media and celebrities. Because drive normal Peugeot and Toyota. I dont have family or friends who ever ask me for money.
I saw troy at the darts in Birmingham a couple of weeks back. It was great to see he was just there with 5/6 of his mates going throught the normal entrance and nobody was harassing him so I never went over to say anything, but he seemed to be having a good night
What do you mean… was hahaha nah he’s alright but seriously how much more of this boring talking can people take
Great to see someone who is so honest. For good or bad . Top man
Well said Stu, Angels & Demons in all of us. Takes a real Man to be honest about that.
Man got one round and now will get free pints from Jack. 4D chess
My friend got confused a little while ago and paid off our holiday. She is in better standing than me and has more savings. So I made a plan with her. The people who you should trust are the people who aren't afraid to crunch the numbers. X
I’m a Villa fan, but I’ve got mad respect for Deeney, turned his career into a positive and is a role model to so many people
Yeah he has a great love/hate relationship with Villa fans, always gives plenty of banter when he scored against them, but sound to the Villa fans after the games, which is exactly how rivals should be in sport
@@Nickkkkkkk344 He was always the pantomime villain rather than a player to hate. He's a good fella and most Villa fans recognise it.
Funny that, it’s the same with Grealish for me (I’m a bluenose). Genuinely decent lad
What a genuine person, its refreshing to see a sportsperson/athlete just being themselves.
I like Troy but hearing him moan about paying for a holiday for 6 friends was a bit ugly. If there your real friends and they made it I’m sure they would pay for your holiday guilt free..if there real friends there not using u there enjoying you being happy
Money didn't change him. It just showed who you really are
My only thing with this is he talks about lending too much money to people (friends and family) but someone also lent him 10k when he went to prison so
Troy deeney is just pure class.
I’d love to believe in Val Thor but how is it that Val Thor is Two different persons one with dark hair and the other blonde hair with a prominent chin 🤔
Hated troy as an opposition. Would love him playing for my team. Great competitor
Completely agree with the donation/charity thing, I'm not even a footballer and I don't like my name attached to donations. But then on the other side, what I don't like is celebrities who we all know are earning x amount doing loads of ads for charities and putting in insignificant amounts of their earnings or none at all, and expecting normal people to pay up. Whilst economically it makes sense and is easier for the mass to donate little amounts with a bigger impact than one rich guy, it just looks bad in my opinion. Anyways, love this guy, great person.
What a genuine bloke. An inspiration for modern youths.
Liked him before, like him even more now
These Happy Hour podcasts are very good! Glad I stumbled across
15 hour shifts in a factory equates to 8 hour at work and 7 in the boozer
Troy is a humble guy i have mutuals with him and when i have bumped into him on a night out he is a very chill brother
Since when did the studio change or am I far behind
Wondering the same
Since the start of this year I believe
@@rianmulcahy7200 cheers
Only for around a month or so im pretty sure, it was being built during the early parts of thus year

man like troy. What a humble guy
Not related to this episode but does anyone else think Robbie is just a dry lunch and not funny in the slightest? Love the pod but getting really bored
Wtf happened to Jacks top row jesus mans picked up a lisp
Why do people have to exaggerate? 3 jobs maybe 3 part time jobs that adds up to a normal working week , if you have a full time job how can you do 2 more ? Also 15 hour days in a factory ? You start at 7 leave at 10 at night , bullshit
Just found this channel’ loved it ‘ and really enjoyed it, Troy Deeny is a joy to listen to, I’ve heard him in the past talking on TV I think ‘ he was easy to listen to , talks off the cuff and from the heart ❤️
Anyway he should be on the box more ‘ ordinary fans love listening to what people like him have to say.
