This video shows some parts of my spring trainings. During this period, I've decided to explore areas of my city I've never explored before, as well as some other cities around mine. In consequence, I've not really trained except one or two times in any of the socalled "parkour spots". There are several reasons to this.
First, I wanted to challenge myself with news places and situations, new obstacles and configurations. Secondly, I was fed up with meeting, anytime I would go to any of the famous spots, always the same people training the same movements and, for the vast majority of them, not training at all, just sitting there watching and applausing the 2 or 3 most famous traceurs/freerunners of the group-, with the same attitude, which consists in -and only in being careful with fitting the group's behaviors and expectactions. In this places, these people do NEVER train for themselves, but act in a way which they think allows them to be accepted/respected/admired by the group. In fact, Paris is full of traceurs who exactly look like each other -because that's the main goal they're pursuing while training-, who talk, dress, and move in the same way, and satisfy themselves with the mutual recognition they get from each other. I don't want to be part of that. And I don't even want to see that: I don't want to be in these palces with these people, because I don't have much time for training, and what I want to do while training is...training. Nothing more. I don't want to care more for people who are watching me training than for training itself. I want to be focused on my personal research and the path I have to follow to find what I'm looking for. But in order to be looking for something -and to know what to look for-, we should not be looking to how people look at us, but we should instead look deeply inside and around us. That's a reason why I chose to train alone and also with some friends that had the same feeling than me about this situation, during this spring, far away from these "parkour people and places".
One good consequence of these explorations we made is that I found a lot of new places, all interesting and unique, all different from each other, with lots of possibilities. Also, I had the opportunity to deal with unusual obstacles and situations (like running through a little bamboo forest), and keep my focus on the "going under and through" part of my training I had started to work on this winter. As I felt I was lacking this kind of training before, I chose to create an intentionnal imbalance and work particularly on this aspect.
This video shows some parts of these explorations and trainings.

I love this "spots are everywhere" approach. Inspires me every time to see parkour opportunities I've overlooked until now.

Dislikes for this video? What is to dislike about this clip. It shows the true art form of parkour. Flips are getting played out. This is the true Ninja spirit of the movement.Great video!

Best video yet, very creative with your movement yet still sticking to (for the most part) classic parkour. great static cam angles, music, and spots. liked it very much!

It's good to see a parkour video without any flips, keeping it true to the original ethos of the sport.

Merci Baptiste!

I struggle to understand how this chanell and these vidoes have such a tiny amount of views! You're exactly what a parkourist should be and yet you don't seem to get the recognition you deserve. I salute you, keep up the good work.

You are so good at parkour! Everone of your videos demonstrates different strategies and movements and it is all done so well! You have the perfect place for parkour so there is lots to places to practice. You allways have great canera effects and perfect angles! Where are these videos filmed because it is the perfect parkour place. You are so lucky.

Bonne continuation !

Bonne continuation et à bientôt !
