Im from Huntington North High School's Varsity Singers. I play in the Band and You guys have got it made. Loved your show at the FAME National Competition! It was specular. Kudos to the band, and the entire cast.
@corvus13 no, the only mic's are at the front of the stage. They are just that strong vocally. Listen to their Le Mis ballad to get an idea of the individual talent in the group and to hear their powerful vocals. They received standing ovations at every competition for their ballad
I'm sure in person it's better, they are great. I wished they would televise the competition. Then sound would be perfect. My kids did band and if a game is televised they always advertise during the halftime show. Wouldn't it be great for this talented kids to get some exposure. They show college football, why not real High School Music competitions and Hollywood could donate money to the Music programs since fund raising is always a issue. Music is never funded well but sports are.
I'm not saying I'm for sure about this, but I'm PRETTY sure that the Glee "Anything Goes" number stems from this. And maybe from the current Broadway production, but... Anybody else see some similarities?
Is there a rule about not being miked? I wished we could hear them better. I wish they were miked, especially when they turn away the sound doesn't carry very well.
Totino-Grace is literally THE show choir!!! I can't believe they got 2nd this year at one of their competitions.
I gave you a standing ovation at my desk. BRAVO!!!!
I'm glad I read the Parade article. This was well worth seeing and enjoying. I'm out of breath. Wow!
the soloist in the beginning is so adorable!! everytime i saw her she reminded me so much of myself!
