@@MelGsBackyardSquirreling Best to you also. I have 2 chipmunks that show up for peanuts when I'm feeding the squirrel children. The one is so jealous if he catches me slipping the other a nut. He caught me yesterday. Instead of running to me to load up again, he just sat on the corner post of the deck and glared at me for several minutes. I called to him but he only gave me a what for in chipmunk chatter. It was the first time I ever heard him make a sound.

@bobporch - Sunflower seeds = Chipmunk crack! I like that, Bob, and I have to agree. "My" squirrels go ape over the seeds too and they're like Hoover Vacuum Cleaners with a souped up power module! Shucks, they even try to chew through the wire cages "protecting" my bird feeders to get to the "surplus" seed! I swear three of them line up on my deck rail with their little front arms and fists planted on their hips trying to stare me down through my windows if I don't keep their little bowls full for them. I'm not as brave as Mel G is.
Until a couple years ago, I didn't know just how friendly and fun chipmunks could be. ... Or, squirrels either! As deft as the squirrels are running up and down trees and even the under side of tree limbs, I was convinced they had long claws they dug into the wood, but your squirrels seem to climb up your leg quite gently! I'm impressed. Well, one squirrel DID get catapulted right at you and your camera once, but that's a different story! Love your videos and your critters, Mel G!
Actually they do have extremely sharp claws!! I wear two pairs of leggings all of the time when I’m out there because that’s just enough to keep them from piercing my skin! And I also make sure to never pull my hand away when hand feeding the squirrels. They don’t not scratch me when they touch my fingers because I learned quickly if I get nervous and pull away fast my fingers will get scratched. Squirrel claws are so sharp, I’m just very careful lol! I’m so glad you enjoy watching me and my critters Randy! Thank you!!😊

@@randy-9842 Ah, actually there is no such thing as a bird feeder. There are only squirrel feeders that birds are sometimes given access to.
