thats very greatest best masterpiece lovebites judgement day classic album legendary of the world. I love great best band favorite lovebites. thank you lovebites the true heavy power metal forever 🤘🎸
Lovebites shreds out beats, harmonies, rhythms and melodies harder than 90% of bands ever to exist. Simply put, they're that good. Every album is magic but this one is a masterpiece.
This song became my #1 Lovebites song of all time. Until... I heard the song that closes out their new album, Soldier Stands Solitarily. My goodness that song is epic, and Asami even more powerful.
Great review. The new album hit #1 in Japan, US and UK markets. Hopefully the US radio stations start playing their songs but I'm not holding my breath.
This song simply raises the powermetal bar. All kinds of epic. Great call on Fami's bass work giving nothing away to this great guitar tandem. When I found out they'd selected her, I admit I was wondering if her complex, technical style, full of slapping and popping, was going to be a good fit. And it's not. It's a GREAT fit. Her solo-like playing underneath the guitar solos _should_ result in a bit of a mess, and with a lesser player it would. Instead, it compliments so, so well. Moreover, Fami's already got a great symbiosis with drummer Haruna (sometimes called "the pocket nuclear reactor" as she's all of 4'9"); this song is a powermetal rhythm section clinic. Check out Fami's UA-cam channel, perhaps starting with her cover of "Alien, Alien," and be ready to pick your jaw up off the floor. There are SO many amazing bands in the Japanese metal scene, and Lovebites are one of the very best. My personal favorite is Nemophila, but you can't go wrong with either one...or Unlucky Morpheus, Galneryus, Hagane, Asterism, Hanabie, Gotsu Totsu Kotsu, Bridear, Little Lilith, Ningen Isu, Saiseiga, Doll$Boxx, Aldious, Graupel, Gyze, Mada Mitakoto No Nai Sekai, The SheGlapes, Moth in Lilac, RagDollz, Ark Royal, Mardelas...the list goes on. And I'm not even getting into the hard rock category (Band-Maid, Trident, Whiskey Dust, etc). It's a Grand Canyon deep rabbit hole, my friend.
Fami is an outstanding bass player, only 19 years old! Haruna the drummer has just turned 23; she's ranked at #43. in the top 500 drummers What are they feeding those kids?!? Holy guacamole! Chops, taste, and awesome arrangements.
Not to take anything away from Haruna, but she is at least 30 (her exact age has not been published). She was the drummer for Destrose back in 2012-2013.
Thanks for the reaction! With the release of their first EP (May 2017) and first Studio Album (October 2017), LOVEBITES have risen to a very high level. Where they continue to be to this day.The new album "Judgment Day" is undoubtedly good and I already have at least 4 songs from this album, which have replenished my personal Top of the Best LOVEBITES songs. But in my subjective opinion, what the band has done in previous years has covered a wider range of genres. On the band's previous albums, songs that were completely different in style were harmoniously combined. Who is familiar with LOVEBITES discography will understand what I mean. As an example, a list of LOVEBITES songs showcasing the variety of genres: "Shadowmaker", "Epilogue" , "M.D.O.", "A Frozen Serenade", "Thunder Vengeance", "Spellbound" , "Break the Wall" ", "Liar", "Rising", "Winds of Transylvania", "Don't Bite the Dust", "Under the Red Sky" , "Dancing with the Devil", "Set the World on Fire", "The Awakening ", "The Hammer of Wrath", "Puppet on Strings", "Burden of Time", "Dystopia Symphony", "The Unbroken", "Raise Some Hell", "Edge of the World", "Scream for Me", "Empty Daydream", "Paranoia", "When Destinies Align". The fact that "Judgement Day" is designed in one style (with the exception of "Stand and Deliver (Shoot 'Em Down)" and "Dissonance") is not bad and not good. And, probably, this cannot be called some kind of "turn" or "breakthrough" in the work of the band. LOVEBITES have long since broken into the Elite of Metal. Since at least 2018 (GOLDEN GODS Metal Hammer). "Judgement Day" is excellent album, with excellent songs, which added to the list of LOVEBITES masterpieces and confirmed the band's reputation as one of the BEST metal bands IN THE WORLD today. (I do not write the words "Best Band" out of respect for the fans of other metal bands 🙏)
This song is not a change of the direction. Rather, at this super high bar level, this song is just an evaluation towards the world greatest rock band of the 21st century. I would be wrong but I feel it. I enjoyed your great comments on my living Livebites.
The 2nd video they dropped for the album is just as intense Stand and Deliver (Shoot "em Down" ) Stand And Deliver (Shoot 'Em Down) ua-cam.com/video/4ImGA7cPyrs/v-deo.html
Reception to Judgement Day has been extremely positive. I don't think there is a mediocre let alone bad Lovebites record, but it's probably their best release yet thanks to more complex songwriting, even better musicianship and a very impressive vocal performance from Asami. All killer, no filler.
This is the same direction they've always been going. They have gotten better with each album. The combination of the hiatus and Miho leaving and Fami arriving had just turned on the afterburner of their direction.
Fami Fami Fami! sorry but some GREAT Bassists Use the pick and You will find some of them are even better than finger players cos they can do that too when necessary
From your handle you obviously are MISA fan. She's the perfect example, plays all styles and does it expertly. When she wants that explosive sound, she uses the pick.
@@hiawatha.g I'm a Bass lover in general and think it's criminally overlooked in the West, thank goodness for the Asian scene but yea MISA is my absolute Goddess on Bass but there are sooooo many GREAT Bassists in Japan and Korea especially. Fami, F Chopper and Haraguchi-san being the top of the list with MISA for Me.
Another new MV song Stand And Deliver(Shoot 'em Down)...
More is more. With Lovebites, you don't get "more". You get it ALL. 🤘🏼🐺🤘🏼
Lovebites are The Metal Warriors, saving heavy metal from darkness & obscurity!🐺

Those 2 guitar players are no joke
shred Queens 🤘🤘
Best there is.
plus the bass guitarist for sure can match them with her bass lead
They have a newer one out. "Stand and deliver". They just keep getting better.
Sweet I’ll check it out. Thanks!
They have a whole new album out, to be precise. And it's excellent.
That sounds like high school cheerleaders doing Motorhead and it is amazing.
The entire album shreds hard.
My Lovebites 🏴 🐺🤘

They have been getting some airplay on Sirius XM Liquid Metal.
Also #1 iTunes metal charts in Australia right now.
Bloody Lovebites 🐺 I love'em

What else could I ask for? I wish they played in my high school gym back in '89.
