Happy you're back, man! I've often thought about your singing journey over the past few years and wondered how it was going. You're an inspiration brother. Keep on going.
Hey Mev! , I'm so glad to see you again, you know what?, I really admire you for your brave to pursuit your dreams, I can relate to a lot of some things you mentioned, like not being full happy with my songs and keeping them unreleased for so many years, just yesterday I was thinking about just doing what I can do right now the best way I can, and release those songs once it for all, because the list of new ideas keep coming in and in, and I can't focused 100% on them because I'm still kind of stuck with the old songs that I really love them even if I'm not 100% happy with them or with the production of them. Also I can realte to what you said about feeling uncapable of performan some of the songs live, I'm still kind of worry about that, but I think that I just will record them the best I can anyway.
You know that I will be here checking your journey.
Great to see you here Guti! Yes I think its very easy to get stuck in the perfectionist or ‘not good enough’ mindset. After a while you start to miss the forest for the trees so to speak. It certainly happened for me. Wanna make a deal, after I release my 1st song you will release yours? :)
Glad you're back man! Just wanted to preface this message by saying that I truly want to see you achieve your goals, but can I ask what your goal is this time around? From what I understand, the original goal back then was to make it somewhat big and develop a following behind your music and your brand. But to be completely truthful and a little harsh, achieving that was always going to be impossible because your skill simply wasn't developed enough. In my opinion the next logical step for you was always to just PRACTICE and GET BETTER, and if you saw those results then you could start preparing to release your own music to make it big. You were already practicing your ass off and I understand you weren't seeing huge results for a long time, but IMO you were setting yourself up for failure by moving to Nashville with a poor sound, regardless of how much work you put in. I think you know this too, which is why I don't want to be too harsh. I totally support chasing your goals and dreams, but I hope your game plan makes a bit more sense this time. Keep up the hard work! Excited to hear your progress
Thanks. Hindsight is always 20-20. This time around I’m keeping more to myself. Less talk about what I’m going to do vs what I’m putting out into the world :)
