same here, I'm a new blender user and I wanted to do a simple animation just to start learning the basics, a lot of other youtubers tell me what to do but don't explain WHY, I came across this video and I'm so happy he explains things. by far my favorite blender youtuber.
Ryan, I would like to commend you for creating these Blender tutorials. As a beginner I find them enjoyable and informative. You clearly explain what it is you are trying to accomplish. You then also clearly explain how it’s done. What I especially like is that these Blender tutorials are more than just a quick movie recording of the button & menu selections required. This is the best tutorial on blender i found! All the other tutorials are like “alright so then you add a keyframe then this then that”, but you organize the stuff out! This is the best tutorial by far.
I really like that this video immediately jumps into the content without giving way too much background info. This was extremely helpful. I also had no idea how easy basic animation was.

If you can't see the keyframes in the shader timeline (15:58) - I had the same issue. Just make sure to select both the object (cube) and the node in your shader view (magic texture) and your keyframes appear.
@@rubysmith5007 The Problem I had, was me forgetting to highlight the object I wanted to manipulate in the shader view. So you basically just have to click on your cube and then on the node in the shader view. The shader view always shows the nodes of the currently selected object.
I just want to say thankyou :) Your tutorials have really helped me out in a cgi piece our small studio has been commissioned. You deliver information at a digestible speed and don't over complicate stuff that is already complicated enough as a newbie. Keep it up!!!!!

I'm making notes in a pad to see if I can do the entire tutorial on my own after...so far 4 minutes in...4 pages. This is great though. So many blender tutorials are just showing you what they're doing. Ryan actually shows you what to do and why you're doing it. I practice this video everyday for about an hour so I can become proficient. Thank you
Other people have already said it, but I'll say it again - there's tons of blender tutorials out there, but you are a rung above the rest. I'm grateful for all the free content that's out there, and you can usually find how to do something specific if you do enough digging. But most of them don't really capture the essence of actually teaching a skill. With your videos, I can actually visualize how I can apply the content to things that are tangentially related. Being able to explain things in that way is a skill that not many people have. I feel like blender is gonna really blow up over the next few years as it gets more and more features (and people get more and more pissed at autodesk), and I hope you are able to ride that wave and flourish!
