The Golden Mount (Wat Saket)🙏 One of the best temples in Bangkok!!! and those views! the 344 steps are really worth it!😍 🥰Thank you for sharing beautiful video.👍 😘Happy to see Thailand with you! .............. 🤣Just looking at all those photos of yummy food is making me hungry!
@@danny_and_diggy I’m very well, thanks you so much!💕 🥰Have a good and safe trip wherever you go. The weather is hot , Don't forget to look after your health.☺
The Golden Mount was the tallest structure in Bangkok when it was completed in King Rama V reign. The temple itself was the dumping ground of corpses during epidemic in those days as it was at the perimeter of the Old Town. The small statues of monks were famous monks in Thailand in the past 100 years. They were dead now.
Another memory jogger for me. I love Chinatown and the Old Town part of Bangkok. Wandering around the back streets is just so interesting. However it can be sooooooooooooo hot and tiring. Wat Saket is a brilliant place to visit. Pre-Covid I had a very interesting chat with a monk half way up the walk to the top 🤣🤣🤣. His English was first class and he was very knowledgeable about world affairs. These are the magic moments that you remember long after you have returned home to reality! 😇 Not sure about the gloopy sauce. It's not for me either but well done for persisting and trying it again. 😉
Great to see you enjoyed the video, we love just wandering around the old town you will never be bored!🙂 we love chatting to the monks aswell (they love to chat and practice thier english) such nice people. We still have to go back again as there is still so much to explore 🙂
hello both of you Unfortunately this is the start of Thailand's peak summer season. It might be too hot for western tourists. But because of the hot weather, there is a tradition of "Songkran", known as the Water Festival, which will take place on April 12-13-14. but in tourist destinations such as Pattaya There will be about 1 week later. In ancient times it was the new year of Thailand. You may be able to see traditional ways in the provinces that are not popular tourist destinations. But in big cities or tourist destinations, young people tend to use this festival to add fun by splashing water on each other. To cool down..and become more popular when foreign tourists join in the fun as well. No one will be angry that day when water is splashed all over the streets. (But it is strictly forbidden to splash water in the building). During the heat of the day it can make you tired and uncomfortable. I recommend you to explore the street food after sunset. It's not hot and there are endless places you can explore in almost every province. There you will experience a wide variety of food. Note: I recommend avoiding food that is on display, like scorpions, fried spiders, etc. It's not Thai food at all. And Thai people don't eat them. People can find so many night markets that you can't choose easily. Welcome to Thailand land of smiles I hope you enjoy your travels in my country.
