The song combined with the image hits really hard. You can feel that terrible feeling of the painful realization, that what you're doing is all for nothing. A never ending massacre... just like the point of the phrase.

But if one imagines Sisyphus happy, then it is all but that. Sisyphus teaches us punishment is merely a way of looking at something.

Sisyphys was punished by zeus. He gave him a meaningless never ending task, yet Sisyphus outsmarted zeus once again by finding purpose and fullfillment in what in the eyes of a inmortal god is; torture. Just like him you can outsmart your own rock by putting in one foot after the other and pushing it as far as it can reach, because if one imagines Sisyphus happy, thats all it takes to defeat the universe itself :3

“I leave Sisyphus at the foot of the mountain. One always finds one's burden again. But Sisyphus teaches the higher fidelity that negates the gods and raises rocks. He too concludes that all is well. This universe henceforth without a master seems to him neither sterile nor futile. Each atom of that stone, each mineral flake of that night-filled mountain, in itself, forms a world. The struggle itself toward the heights is enough to fill a man's heart. One must imagine Sisyphus happy.”

"we build our life on the hope for tomorrow, yet tomorrow brings us closer to death and is the ultimate enemy; people live their lives as if they were not aware of the certainty of death. Once stripped of its common romanticism, the world is a foreign, strange and inhuman place; true knowledge is impossible and rationality and science cannot explain the world: their stories ultimately end in meaningless abstractions, in metaphors. This is the absurd condition and "from the moment absurdity is recognized, it becomes a passion, the most harrowing of all." -- Albert Camus

    One must imagine Sisyphus happy.
Many would kill to have such a direct purpose, a direct challenge to overcome, a goal to reach set in stone; yet finding accomplishment isn't as easy as having a boulder to push to it's peak.
Life is the drive for you to act, and with nothing to act for, you are devoid of life. One must find their own challenges, and set their own finish lines, something to achieve above and beyond.
To others, what you see as an monumental victory may only be a boring, meaningless footnote in their mind. But, if it at least means something to you, then... it's something worth striving for.

This meme came about in a very odd time in my life. This could be pretty long so bear with me if you care to. I am in my 3rd year of university and have been slowly coming to the realization that I will be living the same bleak day out for the rest of my life, it ruined me for a time. Every day I drew further and further into a depressive and nihilistic state of thought. When this meme came about, it at first only furthered these thoughts of being a helpless victim of the world and it’s uncaring nature to the lives of humans and how truly ephemeral and pointless we are. But the more I looked and dug into the history of the phrase “one must imagine Sisyphus happy” the more I realized, this meme became symbolic of the exact opposite. It took a turn and felt much more hopeful. It helped me understand my own meaning of life and that is that life has no meaning but what we make of it. As pointless as we are when paired up to the concept of infinity, we still have life, we still have a consciousness. We still have to option to live our lives in manners that are meaningful to ourselves. Live for yourself and no one else, do what makes you happy. Because in the end, when it’s lights out for the final time. Would you rather think of how pointless you were? Or would you rather think of all the good times you had, all the friend you made, your legacy? Life is finding what makes you, for a lack of better words, yourself. One must imagine Sisyphus as happy as he has a goal, a directive, and he will follow it until the end of eternity. We all have a little bit of Sisyphus in us. Just remember that if you live pointlessly then you will in fact be pointless in your own eyes.

But the greek gods, while they're immortal are not eternal, as within their own mythology, they have a starting point before which they did not exist. This goes for the titans as well. "The time where you are the strongest may not be at the peak of your life. It could be where your are at the bottom. Life gives you troubles so you can build yourself up and become stronger. That, that is where you are the best. When you feel like everyone's pouncing down on you; where you feel like your are a failure; where you feel like that life is worthless; life gives you the opportunity to build yourself up. Life gives you problems in life to prepare you for harder problems later in life. Just staying at the top forever, feeling like you are perfect and unstoppable, the smallest of problems could bring you down so easily. That's why you need to be in the trough of life at some point. Just improving yourself, increasing your confidence, humility, physical and mental strength; it's what makes you better than yourself before. It's what makes you feel happy, accomplished, confident in life. It what makes you the strongest in life. Because life won't always be so easy all the time. You got to be ready for the challenges ahead."

think deep into it though, if you’re given one direction one thing to do, only one thing for eternity, you may think it would be awful at first, but if it’s all you can do, you may find yourself doing it anyway. it seems like an awful fate but if pushing a boulder up a mountain is the only thing you’ve ever known for as long as you can remember, it seems fulfilling to make those small steps towards the top of the mountain, even though you may subconsciously know you’ll never get there. you celebrate the small victories and continue to push the boulder anyway because what else can you do? it is the same as life, we continue to live, knowing we will never reach our true meaning, but we are happy to live here and now.

If the descent is thus sometimes performed in sorrow, it can also take place in joy. This word is not
too much. Again I fancy Sisyphus returning toward his rock, and [122] the sorrow was in the beginning.
When the images of earth cling too tightly to memory, when the call of happiness becomes too insistent,
it happens that melancholy arises in man's heart: this is the rock's victory, this is the rock itself. The
boundless grief is too heavy to bear. These are our nights of Gethsemane. But crushing truths perish from
being acknowledged. Thus, Œdipus at the outset obeys fate without knowing it. But from the moment he
knows, his tragedy begins. Yet at the same moment, blind and desperate, he realizes that the only bond
linking him to the world is the cool hand of a girl. Then a tremendous remark rings out: "Despite so many
ordeals, my advanced age and the nobility of my soul make me conclude that all is well." Sophocles'
Œdipus, like Dostoevsky's Kirilov, thus gives the recipe for the absurd victory. Ancient wisdom confirms
    modern heroism.
One does not discover the absurd without being tempted to write a manual of happiness. "What! by
such narrow ways-? " There is but one world, however. Happiness and the absurd are two sons of the
same earth. They are inseparable. It would be a mistake to say that happiness necessarily springs from the
absurd discovery. It happens as well that the felling of the absurd springs from happiness. "I conclude that
all is well," says Œdipus, and that remark is sacred. It echoes in the wild and limited universe of man. It
teaches that all is not, has not been, exhausted. It drives out of this world a god who had come into it with
dissatisfaction and a preference for futile suffering. It makes of fate a human matter, which must be
    settled among men.
[123]All Sisyphus' silent joy is contained therein. His fate belongs to him. His rock is a thing
Likewise, the absurd man, when he contemplates his torment, silences all the idols. In the universe
suddenly restored to its silence, the myriad wondering little voices of the earth rise up. Unconscious,
secret calls, invitations from all the faces, they are the necessary reverse and price of victory. There is no
sun without shadow, and it is essential to know the night. The absurd man says yes and his efforts will
henceforth be unceasing. If there is a personal fate, there is no higher destiny, or at least there is, but one
which he concludes is inevitable and despicable. For the rest, he knows himself to be the master of his
days. At that subtle moment when man glances backward over his life, Sisyphus returning toward his
rock, in that slight pivoting he contemplates that series of unrelated actions which become his fate,
created by him, combined under his memory's eye and soon sealed by his death. Thus, convinced of the
wholly human origin of all that is human, a blind man eager to see who knows that the night has no end,
he is still on the go. The rock is still rolling.
I leave Sisyphus at the foot of the mountain! One always finds one's burden again. But Sisyphus
teaches the higher fidelity that negates the gods and raises rocks. He too concludes that all is well. This
universe henceforth without a master seems to him neither sterile nor futile. Each atom of that stone, each
mineral flake of that night filled mountain, in itself forms a world. The struggle itself toward the heights
is enough to fill a man's heart. One must imagine Sisyphus happy

I had a relationship that lasted 2 years, and i still think bout her sometimes. But what i keep getting back in my mind is all of those sentences that she told once, and one of them all that i remember now, is one that goes like "I dont like super buffed guys really, i just like when they have abs".Since then every time i have abs workout i think about that. But now that she is gone from my life, i only feel the feeling this song gives, just painful realization that no matter how hard i workout for those abs, i cant have her. And i just end up pushing my self, saying to my self "This isn't enough".
And that applies every time i workout, pushing my self, cuz deep down ik im doing it cuz i dont wanna feel weak, but even tho i can get stronger, ik that in the end ill never have her, or anyone like her, and i wont get the happiness i got back in the day. With body dysmorphia, insecurities, being "too buffed", i know that everything that i do, is meaning less.
thank to that im atleast getting closer to my main focus. "stop being weak"
moral of the history, use the pain as the perfect energy.

This sorrow of a broken heart will always haunt you, i know from experience. Always telling you like your not good enough, that you will never deserve love not matter what you do. I don't khow if it will help you, but if she was so picky about guys based on appearance, that means she was a shitty person and that you deserve someone better then her. However that nasty mark she left you will always be with you. Its important that you don't burry it, but take care of it. That part of you is hurt and if left unchecked will lead you to a path of self-destruction and rage.
Tldr: some people will hurt you, to make themselves fell better, and the demons that spawn from there betrail are not your enemies to be silenced, but hurt souls that you need to assure that everything is going to ok
      Hope this helps 🥲🤝🥲

Remember that being strong doesn't mean not being weak. True strength of character is also to embrace your weaknesses as true parts of yourself, and work around them.

@@konradklukowski1009 liking men with abs but disliking buff men (which i guess meant bodybuilders that destroy their body with anabolics) doesn't mean she was a shitty person

@@konradklukowski1009 She is not a shitty person, it was just a comment on the kind of physic she likes to see. I was more skinny then what i am now in that moment so she was far from being peaky. But i get your point, thanks for the comment.
