- While birding can be a leisurely activity, it can also be quite competitive. Things like Big Years, County listing, and end of year totals all bring out a different side of birders. We turned things up a notch by hosting a birding tournament. Check out the video to see how our contestants faired in our first ever Badgerland Birding tournament.

You’re welcome!
Thanks Nathaniel :) Really interesting. I'm glad you had a good time 💜
You should open this up to subs and make it a regular thing.
We’d definitely like to expand it! This was our trial run.
Awesome!
That was fun! Keep up the good work boys! A few years younger we would be out with you. 👍
Wow what an awesome idea, great video hope one day a participant 👍
Fun video! Thanks!
Congratulations, Bill! Enjoy your “Let’s Chat” mug! I have one like it. I like it because some of my friends and family who aren’t birders have asked me the significance of it, so I get to educate them about the yellow-breasted chat and to recommend watching the Badgerland Birding channel!
Love it! Thanks so much for spreading the word about the channel!
That looks super fun!
Moved to WI last year. Glad to find some new places to go birding and learn more about what species are common here. Thanks!
What a great idea!
I loved this! It was fun to watch. If you’re ever in the North Orange County, CA area, please announce it, we have a lots of great birding spots!
This is such a fun idea! I love taking my time with birding but I think this would be an interesting change up!
It’s a fun way to add some extra excitement to your birding day!
Enjoyed watching, only thing I would change I would make each half a hour.
Really enjoyed this video format, adds another fun aspect to birding
Nice idea. looking forward for more!
That was so cool! Congrats Bill!
That was fun! Might be cool to have one for each season.
This was great. You defo have to more in other areas. Maybe even state competitions.
Great idea! I work as a birding guide and would love to do this here in San Diego.
Wow 🤩
Amazing bro❤📸
What a neat idea! I look forward to future tournaments!
Me too🙂
Absolutely I would compete in your Birding tournament you should have a Birding tournament in one of the best places in the United States , Southeastern Arizona or maybe at high Island Texas during the spring migration that would be the one for you guys to go for yes but I would definitely partake in it .
Enjoyed video thank you 😊
Good job Bill & everyone! I hope you do more of those, they're a blast.
This is awesome! I might organize one of these in the spring at our nature center. I might go with two one-hour halves rather than 45-minute halves. What was your break time in the middle? Did participants set a watch to know when each half had ended? I might also have an individual and a partner competition. Fun stuff! Thanks for sharing.
It would be cool to do an hour each half and make each half two very different habitats.
No chicks? I a chick forest technician from Montreal! Best wishes 💋 !
Everyone’s welcome! These were the folks who were free and wanted to compete!
Being someone from the U.K seeing Tufted Duck as a rarity got me super confused for a quick second
