"8rds of I hope this works.." 🤣 Aaron, you sure do got a purty gun 😄 2011's always make me think steampunk meets judge dredd. Thanks for the thorough review as always!
I'm curious where this ranks among all the 2011's you've tested. I know you don't do comparisons, but I can't help but think about some of the 2011's you've done that have gotten glowing reviews (Chambers, Nighthawk, Fowler, Atlas), and whether there's one you'd choose to rule them all.
I'm still trying to figure out why Fowler Industries blocked me on all social media. I've never even spoken to them, nor reviewed their products.
$5250 is a little out of my price range. But I would if I could 😄
@@RJGuitz well I’m talking about Canadian dollars since that’s what they’re going for here. I was on a Canadian website. Checking on Fowler’s site they are showing 4500 USD, which is more than 5250 CAD.
@@rurouniad Thank you battousai! I wish that happens! Jealous of your 2A. Hopefully Resident Biden gets ousted next election. Same with our Turdeau 💩
So based on the comment about owning most of the 2011's out these days, which ones did you decide to keep? What would your top 3 be?
Didn't know much about Fowler prior to this video, but my immediate thought, looking at the pistol at first glance was, "That looks like a 1911/Glock hybrid." When I heard that Fowler was known mostly for their work with the Glock aftermarket, I was like, "Ah. There it is."
Very off topic, but have you ever considered starting a podcast?
And you're right, I'm here to see you drop a 4500 gun.
I understand why you are doing it but I always look forward to Friday afternoon for a Sage video! Thank you for all the great information so far!
Beautiful looking, extremely accurate and great functioning firearm.
I'm a huge fan of the 2011 platform, especially in more duty oriented, i.e. non race gun builds.
Aaron's comments about aesthetics are spot on. I not only need a gun to be accurate and reliable, but I also need it to look good.
But I'm gonna extreme nitpick in this case, the name Vanta, makes me think of the soda Fanta 😅 😂. So a cooler sounding name for such a great looking gun would have been better..... Haha
Yes, painful as always to see Aaron doing the drop test. But it's great that someone takes one for the team, so we don't have to.
If you think the 2011 is not a race gun, then their marketing 100% worked.
As soon as I heard it has a proprietary optics system I got excited because I knew it was going to get the concrete... LOL it hurts but in a good way. I'm up to 3 2011 an Atlas, Triarc, and an older STI along with a few custom 1911's. These type of guns are without a doubt the funnest guns I own to shoot.
@@mouthbreather280 combo welder, pipe fitter, and I do a bunch of buying, selling, and trading. It's not as impressive as it may sound a few of my high end guns were bought off the used market or I traded multiple guns to get 1 gun. Some people invest in precious metals I'd rather invest in guns...
@@JGr3asy I have the Triarc TRI-11 which is the full size double stack 2011 (type) It's not as nice as my Atlas Athena but if you're wanting to get into the 2011 game Triarc Systems makes a great gun for a good price. Like he said in the video these types of guns are expensive I'd suggest looking around on the used market (which is what I try to do 1st) you can save a little money and with all the hand fitting that goes into them they'll run forever and most people aren't dropping them on concrete so they tend to be in great shape with just holster and common use wear.
Aaron, how does this gun stack up against your Chambers gun? Also can you do a video on which 2011s you'd keep vs ditch?
Wow, those lines…. Thanks for doing a review. That’s a beauty for sure! Good looking 2011. I agree, recoil management, I am good with a heavier gun. It simply helps manage recoil, better accuracy.
The anticipation was real for this one!
I’ve never clicked on a notification faster. Been waiting for this
You know the industry is slow when a memory pad amazes you.
What more do you expect from the industry? There's only so much you can do to a firearm. They were made to kill, not look all pretty hipsterish..
I like your reviews. I had no idea about this products so I watched. It looks beautiful.
What’s the difference between a $2500 Stacatto and a $4500 Fowler? Materials? Fit and finish?
Both materials and fit and finish in the case of this Vanta 9 vs a stock Staccato. The materials are higher quality and as much as I love staccato pistols they aren't hand fitted the same way that this vanta would be.
Are you going to do a review on a Alchemy Customs Quantic Hicap?
Awesome Video would love to see the Alchemy Quantico.
1:15 Infinity SV Has this option when building a 2011 , I don’t know if that was a offering when you had a go with them at the time , however it is a option .
Good to see another video on this piece. First saw this on 1911 syndicate.
The notice at the end of the video of "Starting 1/23/2023, all new Sage videos will be Patreon only.", what will happen to this channel? Will any new content at all be posted here or is all future content paywalled?
Definitely not in the wheelhouse as a daily workhorse due to weight , but it would just be fun to see Aaron shoot a Phoenix Redback OR. Race tuned CZ 75 platforms like the Redback, CZ Shadow 2 , Tangfolios or SA CZ TS are possibly the only pistols that can keep up with high end double stack 1911’s . I’d throw in the Alien but it’s not reliable enough IME to be comparable to proven platforms.
I’ve been putting skateboard grip tape on my 2011’s there for years. Good to see people catching up
Unrelated but I really hope you do a review on the Swampfox Kraken that was just released. I know it’s considered budget and chinesium but would still be interesting to see how it fares in your testing.
Nicely Presented!
"2011's are expensive. Get over it." LOL. Another great review 🥃
Would love a video on which 2011 you will keep. In the market for a few and want to know which ones you will be keeping and why. Thanks!
Hey AC, Fowler vs Nighthawk. Which one would you lean towards?
So it's very accurate like other 2011's right? Texas Gun Vault was having some accuracy issues w/ his.
@aaron every time you dropped the Vanta a piece of my soul died and it’s not even my gun. HAHA. Good lord that gun is gorgeous. I’ve been dealing with the owner of Fowler for years especially when he launched the Zero Triggers for Glocks. He’s always been great to work with anytime there was an issue during the initial release stages come up. Very down to earth and humble man. I’d love to review this one on my channel but it’s a LITTLE outside my budget. Now we need to see someone test the FOWLER VANTA vs TRIARC vs the STI 2011.
Hey, could you do a review on the new HUXWRX (OSS) Flow556k and the Sig Sauer SLX556c suppressors? I know you don't do comparisons, but two individual reviews would be great as well. And maybe a slight hint at which one is better.
Also, the Sig SLH suppressors for 7.62 and .300blk would be great.
Another awesome video! Keep em coming.
That’s the sexiest 10 Glocks I’ve ever seen.
The vanta and atlas are my two top picks of 2011 guns, but I really like the vanta it looks so good and if Aron does this type of review and it passes with him keeping it,hast to be top notch he’s one of the best in reviews in fact probably the top tier honestly. He’s shit thousands of pistols and could have anything he wants
Which safariland holster fit the Vanta 9 please?
The one I have doesn’t seat 17 rd staccato mags with the Dawson plates due to the profile of the Fowler magwell. Which kind of sucks since that’s a majority of my mags.
I really wish these kickass 2011 manufacturers would do the same models in 45ACP, and sell every gun with a threaded barrel. Cuz .45 is just a far more superior round to suppress.
I own 9’s and .45’s and cans for both, and the 9’s are very noticeably quieter with 147 subs. But with “standard” ammo then yeah you’re right.
And either way they need to make .45’s!
Fowler been making 🔥, but out of my price range. Thanks for the overview.
Aaron, question about the Patreon disclaimer at the end, do you mean you're going to start releasing new videos first on the Patreon while YT lags a week behind or you're done uploading to YT? I imagine it's the former but just wanted to clarify.
@@Visual217 I’m done spending thousands of dollars a year on videos without recouping any of my investment.
@@SageDynamics fair enough! I'm excited to check out the Patreon content, you definitely deserve the recoupment for the wealth of research/knowledge you provide.
FUCK. THAT. BIRD.
Now that we cleared that up, GREAT GUN GREAT REVIEW!
Sage: “I don’t make money on these vids, I do it for hobby.”
Also sage: “next year my vids can only be watched if you pay me.”
@Vito Spatafiore last 1-2 seconds of this clip says he is. I hope he changes his mind
People can change and it's ridiculous to fault anyone for getting tired of footing such an expensive bill to release free, highly informational content on a consistent basis.
Beautiful, great working pistol.
Your content is valuable , maybe even invaluable . People will certainly pay for it , I just hope whatever plan you have is viable.
I'm not necessarily into suppressors , being in a non free state , or high end 1911's, but your red dot instruction and reviews have been a great tool for me. Best of luck , and thank you.
Literally feel like it's Christmas seeing this.
Slow mo…. “Nooooooooo” billows from my soul as I hear the words “drop test” coming from Aaron’s mouth.
What are the other 2011 platforms that you have kept?
I loved the Unintended Goofy impersonation 🤣🤣
Sharp looking gun. Not on my list, but it's a looker.
That is a lovely gun... and my nuts ached each time you dropped it...
I have one of these and love it. What holster are you using for it?
@@Tradewerk just get their email off their website and email them and they’ll sell you one. About 8 week turnaround.
Great looking firearm!!
“Tuned in for that”. And I took that personally.
Mickey Fowler was a very good shooter; NRA Action Pistol/Bianchi Cup, Steel Challenge. Former (?) Business partner and contemporary of John Pride.
Frank is a good guy, good shooter, and a good teacher. Been wanting to take a pistol and rifle class from him for awhile. He’s been running a Gray Guns 320 and it’s oddly enough the only 320 that’s really caught my eye.
Well Aaron whenever you do another safe audit and you need a instant buyer im here. Inventory management happens to be my specialty. Well not exactly, I just like buying them.
Holy wordiness! This guy went to the Nutnfancy school of UA-cam reviews.
Where can we look to purchase from the Sage used collection?
Where do you announce / how can I buy one of your guns in the future?
Great review as always. Thanks for sharing.
I just want to know where you sell your guns so I can look out for it?
Anyway we can get a top 5 2011s in your opinion?
Me 1 min in...Oooh I like it! Let me search for it.
Me seeing the cost...Closes tab, and just goes back to watching the vid.
I quite literally cringed every time Aaron dropped that gun... glad you shoot and review guns i'll never own
The ejection is so consistent you could catch so the brass in a coffee cup...
Which 2011 is your favorite so far?
You should check out the phoenix red back if you haven’t already. I hear it’s pretty dope.
Dude your fucking drop tests got me recoiling in my office chair!! LMAO!! Thanks for the review...any thoughts on the Vanta against the XC?
2011’s seem awesome. Now I need to find a way to afford them
Why are you going to Patreon only??
The bird taunting us that we won’t buy a $5k 2011….
Would also like a video on a CZ Tactical Sport Orange
That firearm is a beaut, for sure.
What's the round count on that 508T?
There is absolutely nothing bad i can say about the quality and craftsmanship here.
I just can't afford one. Nor can any police department i know. For a competition 2011 i can see the price tag, i just don't see the customer base for this. Bul Armory and Staccato are already stretching what a duty gun can cost.
🔥
Damn, and well...damn, that thing is awesome.
It’s so nice.Another honest review..Be Safe Sir.
What a fancy bullit delivery system….
Got a trigger and everythin……
Where can you buy one?
Nope, even at idpa matches the most we do is 15, then a reload and 3 shots, based on new rules. Now, uspsa and ipsc might shoot more in one exercise but I'm pretty sure its not 500
Oh snap!!! Fowler da shnit!
I spot that St. Michael Tattoo 🤙
Holy shitakie that thing shoots FLLLL AAATTTTT!!!!
My first future gun...
Hey do a review in a gen 3 G19
Still give me my soulless Glock 45 with RMR and x300uboat and I am a happy man. Stanley hammer that gets the job done.
This is definitely the 2011 that Flashpoint Batman would be dual wielding.
This or Athena for about 500 more?
That’s a sweet gun
Nice range gun
If I’m spending that kinda cash I’m getting the Alien
Nice. Impressive.
Watching you drop a gun worth more than my whole competition rig hurts me a little bit.
🤙👊💪🇺🇲
It's the twenty-first century! I'm so excited to see what amazing innovations the firearms industry will come up with! ................ "We checkered your 1911 grip differently." {Sad trombone noises.}
🤣
Lol
Exactly my thought!
