I find that spraying weak fragrances in the summer is pointless, regardless of the scent. Once I leave the house and perspire a bit goodbye scent. Many strong fragrance today have trouble withstanding the summer heat, probably because of the restrictions on oakmoss and other ingredients. I'm not sure about Halston's 1-12, but if the reformulation is anything like Z-14 cologne, the performance starts out great but dissipates after about an hour and quickly becomes a skin scent. If you want a classic that can stand the summer heat, Paul Sebastian is one of the few EA fragrance purchased classics that's still strong. Derby Club House Blanche sounds nice, but once again the Fragrantica reviews state that the projection is moderate to weak. One said he needs 10 to 15 sprays. I think I'll stick with Azzaro Chrome, Versace Man Eau Fraiche and a few Zara offerings like Midsummer Orange Zest. Allusive and Estiara sound interesting, but so far there's little distribution here in the USA. Thanks for pointing out some heretofore unheard of brands (at least by me!).
My summer summer scent of the moment is Salvatore Ferragamo Subtil pour homme...so fresh & aquatic! Amazing for summer & quite cheap for a so called designer fragrance! Give a whiff
Def got some hidden bad gems lol but it's good to know the water frags too so I don't accidentally blind buy one of them trying to be unique. Try the Perry Ellis line cheap hidden gems for summer one was called Perry Ellis18 looks really good. I like this channel Oh ! That Chinese dude was raving about that carnel sport extreme frag
Estiara alone is quite unique, not the typical fresh frag. The others have the typical fresh-aquatic DNA. I could also say Cheval Blue is quite unique, due to it’s cucumber note. Cheers!
