    Nicely done...

This is not the best way. It is much quicker and easier to just undo the bolt on the hub (outer) end of the control arm rather than undo the camber control bolt on the inner end (as shown in this video) and potentially upset the camber angle setting. Also, the camber control bolt is often corroded solid on higher mileage vehicles and has to be cut out leading to more work and expense!

@Gary Price Unfortunately this is not possible on the Touran as the springs are so big that if you try to do it from the hub end, the amount of force you need to compress the spring from this end, lifts the car off the lift (or jack stands!), well before the spring is compressed enough to get that end of the arm back into position on the hub carrier.
Doing at the camber bolt end, it is further away from the spring so the force needed to compress it is considerably less and you should be able to do it without using spring compressors.

@@blower1 @gary price Gary is correct, you can just drop the spring pan from the hub end. I have done one yesterday and it jacked up easily with the new spring in place to get the bolt through without the car lifting off the axle stands. Done the whole job in 40 minutes.

Can you use coil springs intended for a Touran with a 3rd row seats on a normal one?
      Thanks
