ALDUS UP - Reading Images: the importance of Picture Books to encourage children to read

Today, we all know that picture books for young readers help to promote literacy, vocabulary skills, sentence structure and story analysis. Picture books are an important part of learning how to read in a wider sense: children learn to recognize sounds and patterns within the spoken language, they improve comprehension, but also develop a love for reading and improve their social & emotional skills through the reading of visuals. How do publishers and facilitators like Festivals enhance the relevance of picture books and promote their importance? During one hour, we’ll be sharing the experience of picture book makers and reading promoters from three different regions: Spain, UK and the Baltic countries (Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia).

Während einer Stunde teilen wir die Erfahrungen von Bilderbuchmachern und Leseförderern aus drei verschiedenen Regionen: Spanien, Großbritannien und den baltischen Ländern (Litauen, Estland, Lettland).
