because marketing, scoring goals, is seen as more important than how you actually play - anyone who's watched Spurs all season know Son has been average especially in the PL, he did more in the CL but even then Lucas has surpassed him there

What a season. What a player. After the WC last summer, he went to the Asian games to win gold (military exemption).. initially struggled for Spurs when he came back, but went on a tear in December. Came back again in Feb after a disappointing Asian Cup to carry the team on his back after Harry Kane’s injury. Three critical goals against City in the CL. Never once complained about tiredness.
A true professional and a world class attacker. Bravo, Heung Min Son!

I've been following Sonny since Hamburg (I'll admit I have a bit of a man crush), the guy just wants to play.
