That's one current AIs main weaknesses. It has trouble to carry context from one scene to the next. Recreating the same thing or person in a different setting is almost impossible
Give it a year or so. It's getting close to the point where a full hour and half movie, with a proper plot, talking actors, fully edited etc all done by AI, and indistinguishable from a real movie, will be a reality.
@@JacknVictor I bet against it. It has become a lot harder to gain new training material. Reproducing results breaks with every single new AI release. I’ve said to multiple people for many years that this movie should be made. So many fun characters and so many spin offs, why why why has Warner brothers overlooked this.
You know, Dastardly actually had one of the fastest cars in the Cartoon. He could have won several times if he had just played fair and tried to race. He got ahead of all the others numerous times, but blew his lead on some trap that always backfired on him. If only he hadn't been so obsessed with cheating. On film they did a partial of this with Tony Curtis in the Great Race!
@carlcblake860 I'm 66, I don't care who knows it. You know they were also against Peter Perfect. Originally he wasn't supposed to even show in the top 3, ever. Nor was there supposed to be a semi romance with Penelope. But early reaction was very much in favor of Peter and Penelope and for Peter's racing that he did eventually rack up a couple of wins and top 3's.
One of my favorite cartoons as a kid. Decades later I had a beagle I named Mutley. Lived to be 15. God, I miss that dog. Don't forget the spinoff, Stop the Pigeon.
"Dastardly and Muttley in Their Flying Machines," with Klunk (who spoke in onomatopoeia) and the silly Zilly, in pursuit of the patriotic Yankee Doodle Pigeon. 👍
Honestly, the closest thing we've gotten to a live-action adaptation of "The Wacky Races" was the Peugeot commercial featuring the Wacky racers back in 2013...
Y'know, I gotta tell you... I really liked the slag Brothers and the red max. It's very Hannah Barbara styled classic, and the Flintstones did made a great impact in my childhood.
I never liked it but I've been watching it on metv toons on the antenna and I actually like it more now. No kidding it's a good channel with all the old stuff. I hate saying old but I guess it is.
When I was growing up with this I absolutely loved the Army Surplus Special the best. When I got back to it as a grown up I really couldn't remember why they stood out for me. Ditto my brother loved the Creepy Coupe. And he didn't even remember that till I told him. There's one episode where Pat Pending is about to win so the Army surplus special fires a big load of bubblegum at him. He sticks in it and they pass him and win. As a grown up I sat there thinking 'oh it's ok for them to cheat, but not Dick Dastardly?'
Bring it on. 'The Cannonball Run' was hilarious, so a Wacky Races movie would be great. My favorites were the Anthill Mob, followed by the Creepy Coupe.
Why this hasn't happened after they already did The Flintstones and Scooby Doo is beyond me! It seems that all those characters, vehicles and situations arising during a race would easily fill a 90 minute+ movie and I would imagine some very famous people would be desperate to be cast in it! Maybe one day....
I loved this classic since i was a kid. Though I know this is not a real trailer, I still hope they make it someday with the original characters. Dick Dastardly is a truly wonderful name for a screen villian. For me, Jim Carrey is a perfect fit for this character. Cristopher Lloyd would have been great Professor Pat Pending.
Perhaps johnny depp as Dasterdly? Also, I believe a film was mooted with the late Dustin Hoffman as Dasterdly but it never happened. He was brilliant as Captain Hook, alongside Robin Williams’ Pan.

@Lynxan he actually tried that in one episode, he just drove the way he normally does and didn't stop to lay any traps. He ended up stopping before crossing the finish line (letting everyone else finish before him) because he wasn't having fun playing it straight.
