Voltron is a 1984 American-Japanese animated television series produced by World Events Productions for a total of 124 episodes. The series is an adaptation of the Japanese super robot anime series Beast King Go-Lion, which was dubbed into English and edited to create Voltron episodes.
"From days of long ago, from uncharted regions of the universe, comes a legend, the legend of Voltron, Defender of the Universe. A mighty robot, loved by good, feared by evil. As Voltron’s legend grew, peace settled across the galaxy. On planet Earth, a galaxy alliance was formed. On one hand I got to agree with you, then looking at it from a producer's perspective. If Steven Spielberg or James Cameron walked in and already had all those actor's signed contracts in hand ready to do a trilogy, how could you turn him down. Getting investors to back a trilogy would be no problem at all. We could make it happen with social media today done the right way. Food for thought.

That time has past and ALL the studios missed it. NOTHING from the 80s and 90s can ever be remade with the same magic today. There’s too much ideological and political bull-crap infused into TV and films now.
We got Pacific Rim, the Transformers and Battle Angel Alita. See no Reason for not making a Voltron Movie. Much more intresting than another soulless Live-Action Remake of a Disney Classic.

I couldn't wait to get home from school to watch this! I always thought the lions were cooler than the cars.
Oh, that brings back memories ... I remember several kids in my school arguing endlessly about which version of Voltron was cooler, the lions or the vehicles.
The Lions rule. The vehicles look like wanna be Transformers. I like the OG Voltron.
MAKE IT HAPPEN. They would all be perfect for the parts. I can see this working and it will be one of the biggest blockbusters of all time.

As a Film school graduate i always wanted to do a Voltron live action movie. The only problem is I didnt write a treatment or a screenplay for it, and i had no money to go to Hollywood to pitch the idea to any producers. But boy would this make a great movie! Along the likes of Star Wars and Star Trek.

Too many big names and yet the main characters are the wrong ones for the job, bluntly put. The True five... They were young warriors, Keith is being portrayed by Keanu ... The age isn't right. Ford playing Corran ... Maybe. Brosnan playing Alfor is good...but I think the rest of the cast is wayyy off the mark
By the time they pay these big names, the only money they'll have left is for an extra. Maybe two. They'll have to record the movie on an iPhone.

I was a huge fan. I pushed my dad for two years to get me the action figure in the 80s. I was asking for the smaller one but since I was being good he bought me the big one. Wish I still had it. It was lost in storage when our unit got broken into and cleaned out while we were moving.

I still have the original Voltron Lions. I was just flipping through YT and I saw this and I said why not give it a go. Brilliant on everything! Looks great, and I got the biggest laugh I ever had about one character choice…Tom Cruise 😂 That was a rich choice lol.

After the CGI and effects budget they MIGHT be able to afford Kevin James....
Lance pilots the Red Lion, Sven originally pilots the Blue Lion, Hunk pilots the Yellow Lion, Pidge pilots the Green Lion, and Kieth pilots The Black Lion..... Lance TRIED to pilot the Blue Lion after Sven's supposed death but it rejected him as did The Black Lion when Kieth disappeared, The Blue Lion only reacted to Princess Allura which is why she took over as pilot for Sven. There was never a Pink Lion either so as cool as this is people should to their homework about the lore
