Thanks for watching! Please excuse my mistake on the Elderberry Syrup Recipe. I should have used 1 cup of dried elderberries with 4 of water (I used 2). Follow the link in the description box for the full recipe and enjoy!
So glad your back , Praise God for not too much damage from the bad hail storm, hope your able to get things in order again. hope you and Patrick feel better soon. Have a blessed week
Several weeks ago, I mentioned that I wasn't using any free to do my scrapbooking. Well, I finished the ones I am given to my son for his birthday this week. This past weekend, I went to a scrapbook get-together and managed to get almost 10 pages completed.
Hi Robin…welcome home. I’m so sorry that you had a mess to come home to. I think you are so sweet and your positive attitude is admirable. Thank you for this wonderful video and the great recipe ideas. I have personally hit a stalemate with meal planning. I feel like I have exhausted all my meals in my rotation. Thank you for continued inspiration. I appreciate you so much. God bless you and your family ❤
Thank you Lisa! I know how you feel. Maybe we can pull ourselves out of this rut together! 😄 I’ll let you know if I find some more recipes worth trying if you’ll share what you find! God bless! 🍂😊🧡
I'ts such a pleasure to watch your channel, Robin!! So sorry for that mess that the storm did to your property! Little by little you will have all cleaned up. Thank you for all you shared!!
Hi Robbin! Thank you for another lovely video, these recipes all look amazing! I’m so sorry about the damage to your property. I’m just very glad it didn’t more damage to your home. To keep our immune systems boosted and improve our gut health we do two things- we take a whole food supplement of fruits and vegetables and berries and we make fire cider🔥
I'm so sorry to hear you have experienced damage after the hail storm. Size of baseballs! I couldn't imagine it! I hope most of the repairs will be a simple fix 🤞. Your so inspiring in your homemaking thank you for sharing your ideas. I've been watching your youtube for a couple of years now and your tips and tricks have made me a better homemaker. Thank you love from Devon, UK x
Thank you Helen! I think it will take some work, but we’ll get there! I appreciate your kind words of encouragement and I’m so glad my videos have helped in some small way. God bless! 😊🍂🧡
Thanks Robin. I recently found Acre Homestead and have loved getting some new recipe ideas. Her Gnocchi recipe was one I want to try. I was so impressed that she makes her own Gnocchi (I'm planning on using store-bought!) and her amazing garden was very inspirational. And I love watching her eyes when she eats something that she really likes!! 😋
Isn’t she great?! I love how her eyes light up too- that’s the best! Definitely give the recipe a try. I might try making my own gnocchi soon - a gluten free version. 👍😄🍂🧡
Hi dear Robin! May I have your mayo recipe please?! I LOVE making mine from scratch! I'd love to try a new recipe, just for fun & comparison. Thanks Hun! 🤍🤍🤍
Robin so sorry that y’all had damage at your house. I didn’t hear anything about the hail storms in your area. I know that hail can do a lot of damage and I and a lot of others in my area all had to have new roofs after a hail storm hit our area a few years back. I know you’re glad to be home but oh my goodness that Switzerland scenery is so beautiful. Rachel and I watched your video together and she loved the cow parade. She thought that was so neat. I wish I could get as inspired as you with my cooking. I really have not been good at cooking for a long time now. Basically I’ve still been eating stuff out of the freezer that friends and family have prepared. I’m thankful to have it but I need to start adding a lot more vegetables in my menus. I used to always fix a good salad with my meal and I need to get back to that. I have heard of the elderberry syrup and the benefits. You’re so smart to get all that done. Glad to see you back at home. Love in Christ
Thank you Donna! I know how you feel about cooking motivation! 🤦♀️ I do think that finding just a few new recipes to try has helped me gain some momentum toward getting back on track. I’m so glad you and Rachel enjoyed Switzerland and the cow parade. I loved making that video! It’s actually quite easy when everywhere you turn there is nothing but beautiful scenery! 😆🇨🇭 You sound great and I hope that means you are continuing to improve. Take care and keep me posted and I’ll keep praying! Big hugs my sweet friend and sister in Christ! 🤗🍂🧡
Enjoyed your video! I must say all that sweeping at the beginning made me think … you need a leaf blower 😀 - glad you didn’t have any structural damage to your home & you’re so right…. There’s no place like home!
Haha Shirley! We do have one and Patrick asked why I didn’t let him take care of it?! 😄 I think I just couldn’t wait to do something about the situation and at least I got in a good arm workout. 😅
Thank you so much for your inspiring videos. I truly believe that you were called for such a time is it to inspire and support homemaking for the glory of God, and for our protection and provision in these very last days. May God bless you. May God make His face to shine upon you and give you peace.
We also just returned home from a 3 week trip abroad and returned with a nasty bug. I will check out your link for the elderberries and will make some elixir.
Hi Robin, a bit late to comment, but tonight I made the gnocchi recipe. Ive never cooked gnocchi before, but your meal looked delish so gave it a try. It came out soooo tasty, we had seconds as it was so good. Thank you for sharing the recipe. Im not sure my waist line likes it as much as I do lol.
Here in Scotland we make a bread and full fat milk poultice. Piping hot from the pot, onto an old tea towel, then you sit it on your chest. Great way to heat up a chest infection and kill the infection. As it cools put a hot water bottle on top of it. Keeps the poultice hot for longer.
Hi Robin, welcome back home, You were missed! I’ve always loved you measuring cup set, I couldn’t find anything like them on Amazon. Could you share where you purchased them please? Thanks so much!
Thank you! I love them too, but they were a gift and I don’t know where they were purchased. If I ever find them I’ll let you know - I get asked about them all the time! Have a blessed week! 😊🍂🧡
During the time our house was for sale we had a hail storm also. We were so blessed that there was no roof damage, even though many homes just across the street have to get new ones.
I have never made saurkraut but I do have a favorite crockpot recipe Polish Supper that uses saurkraut, potatoes, diced onions, kelbsa, 2 peeled and diced apples, caraway seeds, salt and pepper. The apples melt into the saurkraut and give a wonderful layer to the flavor.
Great video Robyn, I love the elderberry syrup. That vodlka you make its almost like a Portuguese liquer my grandmother used to make back home. It was a drink my mom and her siblings had often when they were sick as kids. Thanks for sharing the recipes. I hope you got your home all cleaned up from the hail storm.
Thank you Carol! Austin stayed with friends and had a great time while we were away. We got regular updates from our friends and had no worries that he was very well taken care of. He still gave us a warm welcome when we returned. 🧡 🍂 🍁
Could you run the elderberries through a juicer after cooking them? I was just wondering about that- I had no idea how easy it was to make elderberry syrup-
Glad there wasn't too much damage to your home during the hailstorm. And the recipes look yummy. I just bought a hot honey and I'm wondering if I could use that in a similar sauce🤔🥰
The recipes look delicious Robin! I am especially a fan of sheet pan meals; as we are currently renovating a home for our married daughter; so these days fast meals are in order for the next several weeks! I also love natural home remedies for immune boosters! So glad that you were able to escape most of the real storm damage; especially to your home! You and Patrick have put so much of your heart and soul into your home…..I would have simply cried if anything damaged it while you were away! Whew; so relieved it was easily replaceable damage only. As always; I so loved the video, from my absolute favorite virtual friend on youtube; and most wonderful channel. The best. See you next week! ❤️🍂🍁☀️~ Audrey
Thank you so much Audrey! I always look forward to your sweet comments! Fortunately we haven't started the work we planned on the exterior and even though the roof wasn't part of the plan, having to replace it will get us going on the other projects too. Have a blessed week! 🧡 🍂 🍁
@@FaithandFlour Thank you so much Robin!!! 🥰❤️ And I’m SO glad you waited to start the outside renos! I hear you on one project getting the others going!😄 Sounds vaguely familiar lol 😄
Thank you Choo Lee! I think you are referring to the mason jar I used. They are made by Ball and has a “quilted” pattern on the glass. You can find them on Amazon. 😊🍂🧡
We're still recovering from a severe hail storm in August - still wrangling with insurance for repairs............both vehicles, siding, roofing, and a brand new gazebo which is being replaced. Glad your interior wasn't damaged and hopefully no one was hurt!
So sorry to hear that! Definitely not fun! I expect everything will take a while to replace and repair here too. Most of our neighbors are in the same boat. We’ll just focus on the blessings- no injuries and nothing happened that can’t be fixed- eventually! God bless! 😊🍂🧡
Thanks for another great video, Robin! I'm so sorry that you had to come home to the aftermath of a hail storm, but so glad that the inside of your beautiful home did not sustain any damage. It's that time of year when we all need to boost our immune systems, so I enjoyed watching you walk us through all of these recipes (Mary's Nest is great! She is a wealth of knowledge in this department). I started watching Becky at Acre Homestead last January (I'm currently in that rut you mentioned 🙄The gnocchi recipe looks amazing!). Enjoyed this video very much. Have a great week!
Thanks for sharing. Sorry, you had to do all that cleanup. Great recipes. I love water kefir, fruity kombucha, and kimchi to keep my immune system strong.
Good morning and welcome home Robin! I'm so sorry about the hail damage. Weather has gotten a bit scary to me lately 😥 but I put my trust in God's sovereignty. We just returned from a week away in VA and PA and brought home 25 pounds of apples so "an apple a day" is going to be my immunity plan for a while but I want to try the elderberry syrup! Have a great week!
I feel the same about the weather lately - we have had some nasty blows this year, but I always trust God in these situations and I'm grateful that no one was hurt and everything can be fixed. Wow! That's a lot of apples! Have fun enjoying them! 🧡 🍂 🍁
Robin you are a Rock for your family! I'm sorry for the storm but happy you are you and faced it with the joy of the Lord that He is with and protecting you all and all will be better than ever eventually. God Bless you Dear!!!❤❤❤
Hi Robin! I realized while watching your video that I have missed you! I was very happy for you knowing that you enjoyed some time off to welcome or to visit family and friends, but I’m so glad to see you back! I don’t know how you do it, but I always feel inspired and renewed after watching your videos! 🤩🤩 This week, I was looking for natural ways to keep cold and flu germs at bay, and I thought about buying elderberry syrup. Then today, you post this video… how timely for me! What I have used and found to be quite effective is to either drink water with a little bit of organic apple cider vinegar, or to simply gargle with it, a few times a day whenever I begin to have a sore throat. Last winter, I also used a recipe from Mary’s Nest, Turmeric Golden Milk Spice Mix Recipe. This helped me a lot to either fight off the onset of a cold, or to shorten its duration. And it tastes so good that I enjoyed drinking her golden milk even when I was in good health! Have a great week, Robin! God bless you and your family!🙏💕💙
Thank you Monique! I missed hearing from you! I will definitely try the golden milk recipe. It sounds great! 👍 I have heard about using apple cider vinegar - maybe I’ll try that too! Have a blessed week and enjoy your Autumn! 😊🍂🧡
Hi Robin, so sorry to read about your home.Hope its not too tricky to get sorted... Switzerland looked amazing... love the idea of the tincture... keep us posted if you need it... love from Cornwall, UK
Hi Robin, enjoyed the meal recipes. Definitely going to trying those. It was full of ingredients that a. I have heard and b. That I can get 🤣 Have a lovely week 🌿
My father in law’s favorite pie was elderberry pie. Glad you made it back from your travels. Was that a Lomi on your kitchen counter? Thanks for the video!
Hi Susan! I’ve never tried elderberry pie - I don’t think I can get fresh elderberries here in Texas, but that sounds good! Yes- that’s a Lomi. I love using it for our kitchen scraps. Thank you for watching and have a blessed week! 😊🍂🧡
Great idea for the elderberry syrup and cabbage recipe. Yes, I agree! When the bad weather comes and makes a mess.. sweeping the decks, etc is a great place to start to further assess damage and just start storm clean-up. You have everything under control! Thanks for a great video.
Robin, welcome home. Sorry to here about the damage to your property from hail storm, but thankful no damage to internal structure. I love the elderberry syrup recipe. I’ve never made it and it will sure be a better one to take to boost immune system. I take the capsules on a regular but an have this as a backup. Plus make some for my s9ns and daughter. Thanks for recipe. That sheet pan Meal looks very yummy. Will have to try that as well.
I do a lot of veggie ferments. My kids love them to! Its fun to try different combinations, got got some of the recipes from the Ball ferment booklet that came with my fermenting lid kit. It has been fun to try a new recipe a week. I have even started making ketchup, how sauce, and relish. I also have checked our some fermenting books from the library and had good luck with that. I just try to focus on our gut health. That sheet pan dinner looked wonderful. I love the idea of the yummy green sauce that you made to go with it. I will try that one for sure. Yes- I watch Becky too
Hi Alesha! I will be looking into more ferments too! Mary's book has some condiment recipes I'd like to try and I can't wait to taste her version of the sauerkraut - it's almost ready.☺ I also think gut health is very important. I hope you'll try the green sauce recipe. I think it might become a staple here! 🧡 🍂 🍁
I love everything about this video! I've never pureed an apple and the cabbage cores to add to the kraut. That is a great tip. I sometimes make a home remedy for colds and flu called "fire cider".
Thank you! I’m looking forward to trying it when it’s ready- I’ll let you know how it turns out. 👍 I have heard of fire cider and will be looking into that. Have a blessed week! 😊🍂🧡
Aqui no Brasil não temos o costume de misturar salgado com doce.... ou um ou outro.... muito diferente as comidas americanas.... mas cada um com sua cultura
Hi Vera! I like the combination of sweet and savory quite a lot. I assume you are referring to the chicken recipe which is definitely worth a try! Thank you for watching and have a blessed week! 😊🍂🧡
Hi Robin! So good to see you! I love your video, as usual :) so nice to see you make sauerkraut again ( we call it "kiszona kapusta" in Poland and we love it. It's very popular in our country. Love from Ania from Poland
I usually add star anise while simmering elderberries to make my syrup recipe but my boys don’t like the taste of anise so I may have to try making the tincture to take separately. How do you guys eat sauerkraut? Our pediatrician recently encouraged us to eat it so I made my own but I have no idea what to eat it with.
Hi Mary! We love sauerkraut and serve it as a side with just about anything. It’s also great in sandwiches in place of lettuce or even on tacos. The homemade version is much more fresh tasting and much less “sour” than what you buy in a can. I hope you’ll love it too! 😊🍂🧡
Haha Kathye! That’s what Patrick said! 😂 I actually enjoyed the arm workout and the time to enjoy the fall weather we are having- but next time I’ll use the blower for sure! 😅👍🧡

BASEBALL-sized hail?!?! I can't even imagine the potential and actual damage involved! I'm glad things weren't worse.
Me too Ann! I'm kind of sorry that I wasn't here to film it! 😂🙈
Again Robin, another Beautiful video. God Bless you !

Thank you so much Mary! I hope you enjoy it as much as we did! 😊🍂🧡
Praying for a quick restoration of all the storm damage. 🙏 I’m eager to try the sheet pan recipe!
Thank you Lisa! 😊🍂🧡
I'm so grateful for the immune system recipes. I don't plan to get over vaccinated anymore, not after I heard the research!❤
Same, 3 jabs was enough for me during Covid… had to so I could keep my job sadly, wasnt any other option, though I certainly prayed about it first.
Another great video Robin. The recipes look delicious. I am looking forwards to trying the sheet pan recipe. Thank you!🏡🏡🙏🙏💚💚
Enjoyed your video! I must say all that sweeping at the beginning made me think … you need a leaf blower 😀 - glad you didn’t have any structural damage to your home & you’re so right…. There’s no place like home!

I also watch Becky on Acre Homestead. Glad to see you make a couple of her recipes. I was definitely interested in the gnocchi recipe.
Isn’t she great?! That one is definitely worth trying. Enjoy and God bless!

Lovely cosy home!
Do you make your own chai mix? In that big glass jar. If so do you have a recipe please?
We also just returned home from a 3 week trip abroad and returned with a nasty bug. I will check out your link for the elderberries and will make some elixir.
Hi Robin, I follow Becky at Acre homestead, she talks with her eyes. You can’t miss when she loves her recipes.
Absolutely Sue! Isn't she great?! 🧡 🍂 🍁
I was waiting ? Lol 😂
Thank you Jackie! I appreciate your patience! Have a blessed week!
😄🍂🧡
hi i’m new here Robin! Please rinse your chicken with vinegar and water…
Made the sheet pan recipe for dinner last night. It was awesome! Thanks for sharing.

Thank you! I’m so happy to bring you along! God bless! 😊🍂🧡
I just could not live there! Why !
But I like your videos.
Other than the extreme weather lately it really does have its good points! 😄⭐️🇺🇸
During the time our house was for sale we had a hail storm also. We were so blessed that there was no roof damage, even though many homes just across the street have to get new ones.

When I came across Mary’s recipe for Sauerkraut, I immediately used it. I don’t even peel the apple, but I do core it. The Sauerkraut is so good.
Maybe I’ll skip that step next time too! Thank you and God bless! 😊🍂🧡
Beautiful scenery ! So sorry about the hail damage. Loved the recipes!
Thank you Lisa and God bless! 😊🍂🧡
Acre Homestead is great. I love Mary's Nest too. Great video, thank you for sharing.
Thank you Diane! 😊🍂🧡
Could you run the elderberries through a juicer after cooking them? I was just wondering about that- I had no idea how easy it was to make elderberry syrup-
I’m really not sure Jodi. I don’t have a juicer, so I don’t know if it would process something so small. 🤷♀️ That’s a great question! 😊🍂🧡
Hail storms are terrible. We had one in Arkansas about 1 1/2 ago and it’s taken people till now it get their homes fixed.
They really are! I’m anticipating that it will probably take a while for us too. 🤦♀️🙈
Glad there wasn't too much damage to your home during the hailstorm. And the recipes look yummy. I just bought a hot honey and I'm wondering if I could use that in a similar sauce🤔🥰
Hola desde uruguay 🇺🇾 saludos ❤

I feel the same about the weather lately - we have had some nasty blows this year, but I always trust God in these situations and I'm grateful that no one was hurt and everything can be fixed. Wow! That's a lot of apples! Have fun enjoying them! 🧡 🍂 🍁
Robin you are a Rock for your family! I'm sorry for the storm but happy you are you and faced it with the joy of the Lord that He is with and protecting you all and all will be better than ever eventually. God Bless you Dear!!!❤❤❤
Absolutely Etta! 🙏🙌 Thank you so much and God bless! 😊🍂🧡
Hi Robin! I realized while watching your video that I have missed you! I was very happy for you knowing that you enjoyed some time off to welcome or to visit family and friends, but I’m so glad to see you back! I don’t know how you do it, but I always feel inspired and renewed after watching your videos! 🤩🤩
This week, I was looking for natural ways to keep cold and flu germs at bay, and I thought about buying elderberry syrup.
Welcome home!! Thank you for sharing these wonderful recipes!

Tried the Pan Chicken with the Cilantro sauce. This was delicious! Hubby loved it and said to make it again. Will be adding it to my meal plan.
I’m so glad you liked it Mary! We really love it too! 😊🍂🧡
Great idea for the elderberry syrup and cabbage recipe. Yes, I agree! When the bad weather comes and makes a mess.. sweeping the decks, etc is a great place to start to further assess damage and just start storm clean-up. You have everything under control! Thanks for a great video.
Thank you Holly! 😊🍂🧡
I am so happy that you are able to take care of the damage!!! You are so brave in trying new recipes!!!! I always mess them up!!!! Take care!!
Thank you Diane! These are easy - you’ve got this! 😄👍🧡
Thank you so much Joyce! God bless you and your family! 😊🍂🧡
The recipe says 1 cup if using dried elderberries and you used two cups with 4 cups water. Did you want it stronger? Thank you for posting the recipe.
You’re right! 🙈 It is strong - but maybe extra potent? 😂 I would recommend following the recipe- and I will next time too. 👍😄🧡
Thank you for your recipes Robin, I missed them and you!!!❤
Thank you Etta! Have a blessed week! 😊🍂🧡
So sorry for the hail damage. You are a soldier!! I wouldn’t have handled it the way you did!!😊
Thank you! I’m just grateful that nobody was hurt and everything can be fixed. 🙏😅
Looks like you had a wonderful time with family. I really missed your videos. ❤
Thank you so much Peggy! It's good to be back. Have a blessed week! 🧡 🍂 🍁

Thank you Jody!
🇳🇱🌷🌷🌷🙋🏼♀️
Thank you! 🧡 🍂 🍁
The chicken sweet potato recipe looks delicious!!
It really was Mary! I hope you’ll give it a try! 😊🍂🧡
Hi Robin! So good to see you! I love your video, as usual :) so nice to see you make sauerkraut again ( we call it "kiszona kapusta" in Poland and we love it. It's very popular in our country. Love from Ania from Poland
Thank you Ania! It’s great to hear from you! Have a blessed week!
😊🍂🧡
@@FaithandFlour Thank you so much Robin! And the same to you and your family!
😊🍂🧡
@@FaithandFlour Thank you!
Good luck on all the storm damage.
Thank you Sara! Have a blessed week! 😊🍂🧡
Wow! That was some hail storm!

Why don’t you use a blower❤️
Haha Kathye! That’s what Patrick said! 😂 I actually enjoyed the arm workout and the time to enjoy the fall weather we are having- but next time I’ll use the blower for sure! 😅👍🧡
